Lisa Marie Presley's New Job Is Selling Fish and Chips

Call it a case of the King's daughter meeting King Neptune.
Yes, that's Lisa Marie Presley, eager to immerse herself in local village life, literally getting a taste of her adopted country by selling fish and chips from a parked van in East Sussex, near the $14.5-million home she shares with husband Michael Lockwood and her children, reports the U.K.'s Daily Mail.
Kim Scales, who owns the Mr. Chippy food wagon in Presley's hamlet of Rotherfield, told the newspaper, "We were all laughing, because not one of the locals realized who it was. She served one local [an order of ] double fishcake and chips, and he didn't have a clue that she was Elvis Presley's daughter."

Thirty-five years after his death, Elvis Presley is still the King.
Tens of thousand of Elvis fans who gathered at Graceland for a candlelight vigil Wednesday night, on the eve of the 35th anniversary of his death at age 42, were treated to a special appearance by Priscilla and Lisa Marie Presley – the first time the late singer's ex-wife and daughter have attended the annual vigil together.
"I've always avoided this because I felt that it would be too emotional," Lisa Marie, 44, told the crowd, reports the Associated Press. "But I really felt it was important to come down here tonight. I love you very, very, very much."
"You should see this from our point of view. It's amazing," said Priscilla, 67, as she looked out from the stage at a sea of burning candles. "It's truly a sight to behold."

When Lisa Marie Presley arrived to preview Graceland's new exhibit dedicated to her childhood relationship with her father, Elvis Presley, she was overcome with emotion.
"I walked in with my twins [Harper and Finley, 3], looked around, and I gasped. I couldn't tell if I was going to laugh or cry," she tells PEOPLE.
The exhibit, called Elvis ... Through His Daughter's Eyes, opened Wednesday (Lisa Marie's 44th birthday) and features childhood mementos including her crib, first baby shoes and a gold ID bracelet her father gave her, among other artifacts.

Lisa Marie Presley is doing just fine, thanks.
Despite a dramatic tabloid report this week that she collapsed at her English estate because she was weakened by an extreme diet, the musician's rep insists she's in excellent health.
"It is absolutely and completely untrue," Presley's rep tells PEOPLE of claims that Presley was rushed back to the United States for treatment by the Church of Scientology after losing 55 lbs. in five months. "The National Enquirer puts Lisa on the cover every few months with manipulated photos and horrendous stories of supposed 'meltdowns,' and has since she can remember."

Michael Jackson's life was destined to end early, according to Lisa Marie Presley – but she wishes she'd tried harder to save him.
"I know it's naive to think that I could've, but I wanted to," Presley said on The Oprah Winfrey Show Thursday, where she opened up about the death of her ex-husband. "Had I just said, 'How are you?' Can I try to make a phone call? I really… regret that I didn't."
Jackson died last year at age 50 from an overdose of the powerful sedative Propofol and had a history of prescription drug abuse.
Presley believes Jackson's "God-like" existence made it difficult for people to stand up to him about his dangerous habits.

Elvis Presley's only daughter, Lisa Marie, is now a doting mom to 3-month-old girls Finley and Harper – and she is showing off her tiny additions in the new issue of PEOPLE.
"I really wanted these babies," says Presley, 40, who tried for two years to get pregnant before conceiving the twins.
"My blood was too thick and would clot, which caused several miscarriages," she tells PEOPLE. "The moment I took blood thinners, I got pregnant."

Lisa Marie Presley and husband Michael Lockwood have picked out names for their newborn twin girls: Finley and Harper.
The couple's first children together were born Oct. 7 via C-section and weighed 5 lbs., 15 oz. and 5 lbs., 2 oz. The names were confirmed to PEOPLE by Presley's rep.
Presley, 40, also has daughter Riley, 19, a model, and Benjamin, 15, with ex-husband Danny Keough.

Lisa Marie Presley can't wait to add to her family.
In a Friday posting on her MySpace page, the singer, 40, writes that she and husband Michael Lockwood, 45, are "beyond thrilled and blessed, elated and saturated in happiness" over the twins they will welcome this fall.
The pair will be the first children together for Presley and Lockwood, a musician. The expectant mom, who proudly displays her baby bump in the September issue of Marie Claire, has daughter Riley, 19, a model, and Benjamin, 15, with ex-husband Danny Keough.
In her first blog entry since May, she expresses her gratitude to fans for well wishes to the couple, who wed in January 2006. "Thank you so much for all of the amazing positive energy and beautiful well wishes," she writes, adding, "We love reading them."

Lisa Marie Presley announced she's expecting twins – and now she's baring her baby bump in a new photo spread in the September issue of Marie Claire.
The reason for exposing herself in this spread? Presley says she's firing back against people who, early in her pregnancy, posted unflattering photos of her and just accused her of having a large, unhealthy appetite.
"They want me to be him," she tells the magazine, referring to her father, Elvis Presley. "It's like they can't wait."
Presley claims "the tabloids were going so far as to alter photos. I could never figure out why they went to all that trouble to make me look fat.
"There are at least six other famous women pregnant right now who aren't getting picked on," she says in the interview. "But they're all over me. It's like there is a campaign to demean me."

Lisa Marie Presley is pregnant with twins, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
"She wanted it really to be kept a secret for a long time," the singer's mother, Priscilla Presley, tells Entertainment Tonight, which broke the news. "And I think women should, because they should be able to announce what they're having and when it's time to make the announcement."
Presley, 40, who is expected to give birth in the fall, has two teenage children, daughter Riley, 19, and son Benjamin, 15, with ex Danny Keough.
The twins will be Presley's first children with husband Michael Lockwood.
