Lucy Liu Gets Pie in the Face on Jimmy Fallon Show
Originally posted 01/30/2013 11:30AM
Lucy Liu got pie-eyed with Jimmy Fallon Tuesday night.
The always elegant actress, 44, now starring on the CBS crime drama Elementary, was a good sport as she joined the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon host for a messy game of "Rock, Paper, Scissors, Pie" – and ended up a gooey mess with her face covered with white cream.
Fallon, 38, also took a sweet wallop to the face as the segment placed the stars behind a cutout board – framing them as chefs – and exposed their faces and arms. They put their hands on a device whose handles, when clicked, could deliver an unexpected pie blast.
CBS Adds Dramas Starring Jonny Lee Miller and Dennis Quaid

The upfront event for top-rated CBS typically has the smoothness and confidence of a long-running Broadway musical that makes other productions in the area look like dinner theater.
Wednesday afternoon's event, which included an entertaining rap-opera number by NCIS L.A. star LL Cool J and lyric soprano Danielle de Niese, was no different. CEO Les Moonves, bragging about the network's position of strength, summed up his pitch to advertisers in four syllables.
"Blah," he began, concluding, "blah, blah, blah."
The biggest news was the announcement that Two and a Half Men, having re-secured the services of wily man-child Ashton Kutcher, was being moved to Thursdays and teamed with The Big Bang Theory.
The theory is that this will defeat other networks by creating an impenetrable force field of howling sitcom laughter.

Lucy Liu Turns 40, Gets Humanitarian Award
Originally posted 12/04/2008 12:10PM
Lucy Liu has received a special 40th birthday present: a Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award from UNICEF.
"I feel overwhelmed and incredibly happy," the Dirty Sexy Money star said at the UNICEF Snowflake Ball in New York Wednesday night, where guests included Téa Leoni, first daughter Barbara Bush, and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Liu's birthday was actually Tuesday, but that didn't stop the many guests at the event from wishing her well.
She also got a special birthday tribute from Oscar-nominated songwriter Jon McLaughlin, who sang "Happy Birthday" to her before performing his single "Beating My Heart."
The actress lost her voice before the event, but still participated in the evening's auction. She donated $10,000 for a raft to carry supplies over water.
