Country's finest are showing off a little skin – and a lot of charm.

"I hate looking at pictures of myself!" Tim McGraw insists. But one glimpse at the 46-year-old singer's ripped abs, which are featured in the new Hot Guys issue of PEOPLE Country, and we'll respectfully disagree.

Equally compelling eye candy? Fellow country stars Jake Owen, 31, and Kip Moore, 33, who also go shirtless in the new issue. But, as Owen explains, that buff beauty is more than skin deep.

For Luke Bryan, who burst into tears when his name was announced, being named entertainer of the year at Sunday's 48th annual Academy of Country Music Awards wasn't just big. It was BIG.

"You know, your life flashes before you," Bryan, who also served as the Las Vegas event's co-host, with Blake Shelton, tells PEOPLE.

"Everything – the years to get there, the loading up amps in trucks, and even the move to Nashville and then driving back to Georgia and playing little bars and then the record deal and watching your fan base grow and watching people start to love what you do."

None of country music's biggest stars doubt that Luke Bryan will do well as co-host, with Blake Shelton of this Sunday's Academy of Country Music Awards, but that doesn't mean they aren't concerned about him.

"I think Luke is nervous, and he should be," Miranda Lambert told PEOPLE Friday. "Not because he won't do great. It's because my husband [Blake] is a loose cannon and he never goes by prompter and I never know what he's going to say or do."

For Shelton, hosting country music's annual showcase is old hat, having done it twice before. But Bryan is a rookie.

Luke Bryan and Kimberly Perry have three words for Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley: "Watch your backs."

While Underwood and Paisley will be co-hosting the CMA Awards on Nov. 1 for the fifth consecutive year, upstarts Bryan and Perry (lead singer of Band Perry) are hoping their debut as co-hosts of Country's Night to Rock – which airs Monday night at 8 p.m. ET on ABC – will leave a lasting impression.

"I wasn't really sure what hosts were supposed to do," Perry tells PEOPLE. "But I have studied Carrie and Brad – they are such pros. And my brothers [bandmates Reid and Neil] let me practice with them on the bus. Neil actually does a great Luke Bryan imitation, so that helped!"
