The new year brought good news to longtime fans of Archie Andrews and his friends: The CW has ordered the pilot for Riverdale, a live-action show that will offer a "gritty" take on the long-running comics series. Gritty or not, it's a good fit; after all, if any network can get teenage longing right, it's the CW, which has already found success adapting other comics into shows such as Arrow, The Flash and iZombie.

"Celebrating my 18th Birthday with my friend and co-star and envy of millions of girls everywhere (ha ha!) #LukePerry at Bar One which was an iconic Hollywood Club in the 90's! #TBT #90210," Spelling, 42, captioned her Instagram.

Tori Spelling is about to kiss and tell.
The actress is giving some insight into the real behind-the-scenes drama of Beverly Hills, 90210 in honor of upcoming Lifetime's TV movie about the cast, and she admits that she hooked up with two costars: on-screen love interest Brian Austin Green and another leading man.

If there's one of Tori Spelling's former Beverly Hills, 90210 costars who isn't tuning into her dramatic True Tori docureality series, it's most likely Luke Perry.
"I think reality TV sucks for the most part," the veteran actor, 47, said when he sat down with PEOPLE last week.
"It's put so many writers out of business and put so many actors out of work that it's changed the face of entertainment. As a guy who has grown up making his living making primetime television – get that reality s––– out of here and give more writers and actors a chance to make shows that people will watch."

Attention '90s TV fans: Prepare to have your minds blown.
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles red carpet premiere of Dark Tourist starring Melanie Griffith featured a double reunion of stars from two beloved '90s shows: Beverly Hills, 90210 and Home Improvement.
Beverly Hills' resident hunks Luke Perry and Jason Priestly, who played Dylan McKay and Brandon Walsh, looked as cooly casual as they found each other on the carpet and posed for photos with their signature smoldering stares. (Last year, the pair appeared together in an Old Navy commercial featuring fellow Beverly Hills alum Jennie Garth.)

Is it a makeover ... or a breakover?
According to Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth's recent body makeover may have gotten a boost from good old-fashioned heartbreak.
"You spend a little time in Heartbreak Hotel, that's what happens. Heartbreak Hotel diet is a good one," Priestley joked with PEOPLE at the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) convention in Miami on Monday, where he is promoting the new season of his comedy Call Me Fitz.

Luke Perry is looking a little green.
The actor, 47, was dressed head-to-toe in a costume of leaves for a guest appearance on an upcoming episode of Raising Hope called "The Ghost of Arbor Day."
Playing himself – and the Ghost of Arbor Day Past, Present and Future – the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star pays a visit to Sabrina (Shannon Woodward) when she disapproves of the way the Chance family (Martha Plimpton, Garret Dillahunt) observe the environmentally friendly holiday.
