PEOPLE Goes Inside Leonardo DiCaprio's Top-Secret Movie Set

After a private Mediterranean cruise with 12 pals that sailed from Aug. 12 through 16 along the French Riviera, Leonardo DiCaprio got an early jump on Labor Day by going back to work Monday in Paris for his latest movie, Inception, directed by Dark Knight's Christopher Nolan and which started shooting in London last month.
Trade reports have described Inception as a contemporary sci-fi action thriller set within "the architecture of the mind." But for DiCaprio and his costars, La Vie En Rose Oscar winner Marion Cotillard and Juno Oscar nominee Ellen Page, the setting was one of the more recognizable bridges on the Seine.
The bridge itself – the Pont de Bir-Hakeim – is no stranger to the screen, having recently been seen in 2007's National Treasure 2. Steven Spielberg also used it and its above-ground Metro line and distinctive view of the Eiffel Tower in his 2005 Munich, while Marlon Brando walked across it in the groundbreaking 1973 Last Tango in Paris. Now it's DiCaprio's turn.

Lawyer: Marion Cotillard's Remarks Out of Context

Remarks made by La Vie en Rose Oscar-winning French actress Marion Cotillard, questioning the validity of the 9/11 attacks on America, were taken out of context, her Paris-based lawyer said Monday.
"Marion never intended to contest nor question the attacks of September 11, 2001, and regrets the way old remarks have been taken out of context," said attorney Vincent Tolesano.
When asked for further comment, PEOPLE was told that the actress, 32, was visiting her 99-year-old grandmother in Brittany on Monday.
Next week, Cotillard is due in Chicago to begin Public Enemies.
Her interview containing the controversial remarks apparently took place in February 2007, on the French channel Paris Premiére's cinema program.

'The Kid' Marion Cotillard Wins in Paris

The French raised the Oscar stakes on Friday night – sending La Vie en Rose's Marion Cotillard off to L.A. with a best actress win at the 33rd Annual César Awards ceremony.
Cotillard's incarnation of singer Edith Piaf has won her Golden Globe and BAFTA awards this season, and placed the 32-year-old as a frontrunner against Oscar veteran Julie Christie Sunday night.
Announcing Cotillard's win, French screen legend Alain Delon championed it onstage, playfully extending the long-anticipated moment before finally revealing. "And the César goes to ... The kid Marion!"
An emotional Cotillard thanked Piaf friends and family who shared with her and the film's director/writer Oliver Dahan. "You changed my life as an actress. You've changed my life. Period," she said. "You have written the most beautiful role in the world."

Marion Cotillard: I'm Living a Dream

Marion Cotillard says she the attention she's gotten from Hollywood – not to mention the Academy – is beyond her wildest dreams. "I wouldn't even have imagined being with my French movie in the United States, which is a country of cinema," the 32-year-old Oscar nominee for La Vie en Rose tells Elle magazine in its March issue. "I'm living a dream I didn't dare to have."
Up next for the French star, a turn in a movie adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Nine with some more Hollywood hotshots, including Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz.
