After a nearly three-week absence, Mariska Hargitay is scheduled to return to the set of Law & Order: SVU on Monday, a rep for NBC confirms to PEOPLE.
Hargitay, 44, underwent surgery for a partially collapsed lung in early January, but returned to work later that month. She went back into the hospital again on March 3 and has been sidelined ever since. The Emmy winner has not revealed the cause of her ailment.
On March 9, Hargitay's rep issued a statement to say, "Mariska is recovering well and is expected to return to SVU in the next couple of weeks."

Law & Order: SVU star Ice-T was surprised to hear that his costar, Mariska Hargitay, was re-hospitalized Tuesday night after she had returned to the set so quickly – less than a month – after undergoing surgery in January for a partially collapsed lung.
On Monday, the actress's rep issued a statement saying, "Mariska is recovering well and is expected to return to SVU in the next couple of weeks."
But Ice-T expects his costar to be back in filming shape soon. "When she came back last time it was like nothing ever happened. She's very resilient. This woman is a hard worker; she works 14 hours a day. I don't know what you know about episodic drama television, but it's like a movie that never ends," the Grammy-winning rapper and actor, 51, told PEOPLE Thursday at the VH1 Save the Music Foundation event, co-sponsored by LG Mobile Phones.
On the topic of Hargitay, 45, Ice-T cited her desire to downplay any hardships she might be facing. "Mariska is the type of woman that if you walk up and say, 'How are you?' She's almost like a guy and is like, 'Yeah, yeah, I'm all right.'
"It's almost as if you insult her. She doesn't want you to feel sorry for her, she's like, 'I'm on my feet.' "

Mariska Hargitay has returned to the Law & Order: SVU set, two weeks after news broke that the actress had suffered a partially collapsed lung.
"She's back at work," her rep confirms. A rep for the production company also confirmed that Hargitay was on SVU's set as of Monday afternoon.
Hargitay's absence caused filming to cease last week, according to sources. Although she was nominated for both a Golden Globe and a SAG award for her role as Det. Olivia Benson, Hargitay was absent from both of those awards ceremonies this month.

With 10 seasons of Law & Order: SVU under her belt, Emmy-winning actress Mariska Hargitay says she'd consider leaving the hit show – for one very important reason.
"I just want to see my kid," the 44-year-old actress, who is mom to son August, 2, says in the January issue of Ladies' Home Journal.
Or maybe some maternity leave in the future would more appropriate. Hargitay says that she and husband Peter Hermann are "trying" to have another child and expand their family.
Despite her successful career and family life, Hargitay didn't always feel so confident. She thinks of herself as a late bloomer.

Move over, Miley Cyrus. Stars like Jennifer Hudson, Mariska Hargitay and Angie Harmon all stripped down for Allure's annual portfolio of naked stars. And Editor in Chief Linda Wells is dishing the dirt on the birthday-suit shoots.
"Stars do get surprisingly rattled," she told PEOPLE Wednesday night, during the magazine's Most Alluring Bodies silent auction in New York City. And even though they didn't all appear in Allure, nude portraits of Angelina Jolie, Gisele Bundchen, Kate Moss and Scarlett Johansson were donated by photographers to benefit Skin Cancer Research.
"We've had some of the most gorgeous people with the most gorgeous bodies really have a moment of crisis when they have to drop the robe," said Wells.
So have there been any major surprises during the nude photoshoots? "Some people haven't discovered the bikini wax," she said. "That was a shock. And that is a very expensive bikini wax when you're [forced to fake it] with a lot of retouching."
