Sadie Robertson really came out of her shell on Monday's Dancing with the Stars, performing a spirited samba with partner Mark Ballas.
The judges were impressed, handing the pair a score of 37. But they weren't the only ones gushing about the 17-year-old, who really seems to be hitting her stride.
PEOPLE caught up with her proud papa, Willie Robertson, after the show to get his thoughts. And while admitting it's still early in the competition, the Duck Dynasty star said he can tell his daughter is improving week to week.

It was "Most Memorable Year" night on the dance floor – though it should have been called let's gets super sad and personal because of all the teary-eyed video packages. But even a moving tribute to her adult daughter couldn't save designer Betsey Johnson on a night that gave America (or at least those on the East Coast) a chance to vote in place of the still-missing judge Len Goodman.
"Thank you, thank you, mostly to Tony, to my fans, this has been the best wonderful thing," said Johnson at the end of the show. "It's just been a trip, a big trip!"
The designer who started the night out in jeopardy earned a fairly respectable 29 after performing a panty-flashing handstand in her number with Tony Dovolani. "I think I saw your Victoria's Secret!" quipped judge Bruno Tonioli.

It's the finale!!
We've had so much drama the last few weeks, I haven't been able to keep up with my blog. I'm writing this Monday morning and I still have no idea what is going to happen tonight.
Mark's shoulder popped out during rehearsal on Sunday and he was taken to the hospital. They couldn't see exactly what happened from the x-ray, and Mark is getting an MRI this morning. It's still unclear at this point as to whether or not he'll be able to dance with me in the finale tonight.

Dancing with the Stars had a bit too much drama Sunday afternoon when pro Mark Ballas fell to the floor while rehearsing his freestyle routine with celebrity partner Candace Cameron Bure, a show spokesperson confirms to PEOPLE.
"Mark was seriously injured during camera blocking," the spokesperson says. "His shoulder popped out during a lift and he was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was treated and released. It's unclear whether or not he'll be able to perform on Monday's show."
The injury occurred at the CBS studio where Dancing is taped. Ballas and Bure were in the middle of a complex maneuver that involved Ballas lifting the actress onto his shoulders when the injury occurred.
Fellow pro dancers Derek Hough and Cheryl Burke were at the studio and rushed to Ballas's side on the ballroom floor.
