Martina Hingis, the retired Swiss tennis player who won five Grand Slam singles titles in her career, is now playing doubles.
Hingis, 30, the world's former No. 1 player, married French show jumper Thibault Hutin on Friday in a private civil ceremony in Paris, according to Swiss newspaper Sonntags Blick.
"Our wedding may take some by surprise," the paper quotes the bride as saying of the couple's ceremony, "but it has all been planned for some time."

Tennis star Martina Hingis says she has been accused of testing positive for cocaine at Wimbledon, an accusation she calls "horrendous," the Associated Press reports.
Hingis, who is Swiss, also announced she is retiring from professional tennis.
"I find this accusation so horrendous, so monstrous that I've decided to confront it head-on by talking to the press," she said Thursday. "I am frustrated and angry. I believe that I am absolutely 100 percent innocent."
