No magic wand for former spellcaster Melissa Joan Hart: The onetime star of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch has to rule over her real-life family with old-fashioned mom moves.
"It's a crazy house right now," she told PEOPLE at Wednesday's Lupus L.A. Bag Ladies Luncheon in Beverly Hills.
The mom of two boys, 33, said that – what with a big move and her recent spin on Dancing with the Stars – it's been a wilder ride than Halloween on a broomstick.

Melissa Joan Hart's Mom 'Recovering Well' After Brain Surgery

Melissa Joan Hart's mother Paula is progressing "quickly" after brain surgery two weeks ago to remove a benign tumor, the actress says.
"Every day, she is like a different person," Hart, 33, told PEOPLE at Sunday's A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival in Los Angeles. "It's amazing to see. It's a really fast recovery ... Everything worked out really well."
Hart credits her 53-year-old mom's strength with motherhood. "She's had seven kids, six of them with no drugs," says Hart. "She was so tough, and she's such a good healer. It's amazing to see. One day she can't walk, the next day she's running up and down the block."

Melissa Joan Hart has had an "intense" week – because her mother, Paula Hart, underwent an eight-hour surgery on a brain tumor, the actress reveals on her MySpace Celebrity page.
"All of my 6 siblings and I gathered at my house and the hospital for the entire week to be strong for each other," Hart, 33, writes. "She is out of the woods and on her way to recovery, luckily she is a good healer and has 7 children to lend a hand in times like these."

Melissa Joan Hart Reveals Her Bikini Body

Looking at Melissa Joan Hart's new 113-lb. bikini body, it's hard to believe it was only last summer she felt "horrified" by the unflattering bathing suits shots taken of her at a Southern California beach.
"I still read blogs about me discussing how fat I've become," the former Sabrina, the Teenage Witch star tells PEOPLE in the new issue, available on newsstands Friday.
"Everyone still thinks I'm huge," says Hart, 33, whose post-pregnancy body was the subject of cruel Internet attacks after she gave birth to sons Mason, 3, and Braydon, 14 months, with husband, Course of Nature lead singer Mark Wilkerson, 32. "But I'm not anymore!"
Hart understands the confusion. After all, the public has grown accustomed to seeing celebs get back in their skinny jeans mere weeks after giving birth. "There are enormous pressures put on you in Hollywood," she says.
Her inspiration to finally get back in the best shape of her life? The women in her life, including her friend, actress Jaime Pressly, who has a son, Dezi, 2, as well as her own mom Paula, who gave birth to seven children "and is tiny!" Hart says. "I realized I didn't have to be heavy just because I have kids."

Between potty training her first son and giving birth to her second, Melissa Joan Hart has had a busy year as a mom.
"It's a constant workout," the ex-Sabrina, the Teenage Witch star tells PEOPLE of taking care of her sons Mason, 3, and Braydon, 8 months.
That's why she's been able to stay post-pregnancy fit, she says.
"You don't have time to eat because you're chasing them all the time!" she said Friday at the Jonas Brothers launch of 77 Kids by American Eagle in Los Angeles. "You kind of lift them in the car seat, out of the car seat, in the highchair, out of the highchair."

Melissa Joan Hart Begins Potty Training Adventure

Melissa Joan Hart has such a potty mouth. And that's a good thing!
The former Sabrina, the Teenage Witch star is ready to begin potty training her eldest son, Mason, 2. And, in cooperation with Pull-Ups training pants, she'll be keeping an online diary of the high-fives and (soggy) lows.
"I've been watching DVDs ... and meeting with experts and trying to figure out the potty training, but it really is different for every single kid," Hart told PEOPLE at The Playroom's First Anniversary benefiting the organization Friends of the Family on Wednesday in L.A. "You have to take what works for you and leave the rest behind."

Melissa Joan Hart: My Life's About to Get 'Tougher'

With a new baby at home, Melissa Joan Hart says life has been crazy enough – and it'll only get more hectic when her musician husband hits the road.
"I'm not sure I can handle two babies on my own, unlike my sis who is super-mom," Hart, 32, who gave birth to son Braydon Hart Wilkerson in March, writes on her MySpace Celebrity blog.
The actress and husband Mark Wilkerson, 30, a Grammy-nominated musician, also have 2-year-old son Mason.
"We are adjusting nicely to being a family of four, although it is a tough job," says Hart. "It's about to get a lot tougher as Mark leaves on tour this week."

Melissa Joan Hart and husband Mark Wilkerson welcomed their second child, a son, on Wednesday, their rep tells PEOPLE.
Braydon Hart Wilkerson was born at 3 p.m. in Los Angeles after 10 hours of labor, weighing 7 lbs., 3 oz., rep Brad Taylor says.
The oldest of eight children, Hart, 31, says she's happy to bring home a sibling for her 2-year-old son Mason.

Her second baby is "kicking like a maniac" – and Melissa Joan Hart is getting ready for its arrival by making major changes around the house.
"We actually moved [2-year-old] Mason into a big boy room and left the nursery the way it is," Hart recently told PEOPLE about rearranging her house to prepare for her second child with husband Mark Wilkerson. "It's very neutral."
