Michael Bolton: Nicollette and I 'Remain Friends'

Life is just a little bit lonely for Michael Bolton – and not just because of his recent split from fiancée Nicollette Sheridan.
The newly single singer – who insists he and the Desperate Housewives star "remain friends" – is also adjusting to daily life without his three adult daughters, who have all moved out of the family home in Westport, Conn.
"Empty nest syndrome, that's what I have," Bolton told PEOPLE Sunday at the 16th Annual Michael Bolton Charities for Women and Children At Risk benefit concert at the Rich Forum in Stamford, Conn.
Now that daughters Isa, Holly and Taryn (from his 15-year marriage to Maureen McGuire) have grown up, Bolton has put his waterfront, 2.7-acre estate on the market for $11 million.
Is he feeling sad about selling the Tuscan-style, six-bedroom home he's lived in since 1991? "Well, yes and no," says Bolton, 55. "The reality is I'm spending so much time in Los Angeles and traveling six or seven months a year and working on my record. My daughters are grown up. When I come home and open the door, I hear an echo: 'Hello, hello, hello.' "

Ne-Yo Has 'Gotta Stop Judging Books by Their Cover'

Call it a lesson learned for singer-songwriter Ne-Yo.
"I really gotta stop judging books by their cover," the R&B star, who recently logged studio time with Michael Bolton, tells PEOPLE. "I was expecting him to be really up tight. But he wasn't! He was so relaxed, cool and down to earth."
Ne-Yo, whose album Year of the Gentleman hits stores Tuesday, is getting his character flaw in check – he even issued an apology to pop star Lindsay Lohan in August for doubting her musical abilities.

Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton are again going their separate ways, a rep for the actress tells PEOPLE exclusively.
"Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton have amicably ended their engagement," said Nicole Perna. "They appreciate your respect for their privacy in this matter."
The couple's relationship originally started in 1992, and lasted for five years.

Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton's relationship started in 1993 – lasting about a year and a half – though the serious stuff began in 2005, with the announcement of their engagement more than two years ago.
All of which begs the question: When, already, will the lovebirds tie the knot?
"We're both having a great time. And we're insanely busy. I don't ever stop touring and traveling," Bolton, 55, told PEOPLE at Wednesday's Lincoln Center Spring Gala in New York, honoring Disney chief Robert Iger.

Nicollette Sheridan: Location Holding Up Wedding

Crediting fiancé Michael Bolton for luring her out of her shell, Nicollette Sheridan says there is only one thing holding up their plans to marry, the Desperate Housewives star admits in a new interview.
"We haven't decided where, and as soon as we make that decision it will happen very quickly," Sheridan, 44, tells the U.K.'s Mail on Sunday's YOU magazine.
What Sheridan does know with certainty is that she wants to start a family. "I would like a baby," she says, though she is reluctant to say if the couple are trying.
