Do not adjust your screen!

That's Brad Pitt on the London set of his upcoming film The Counselor, with a guy who looks a lot like ... Brad Pitt!

In the movie, written by Cormac McCarthy and directed by Ridley Scott, Pitt plays a Western-wear-loving attorney who gets into trouble when he becomes involved with drug traffickers.

Penélope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem and Michael Fassbender also star in the movie, which is due out next year.

Brad Pitt Reprises His Cowboy Look in The Counselor

When it comes to successfully pulling off various (and often hairy) looks for movie roles, we tip our hat to Brad Pitt.

And when it comes to pulling off cowboy hats – well, he's probably persuaded many a fan to move to the wild, wild West.

Shooting his latest film, The Counselor, in London Tuesday, Angelina Jolie's fiancé once again channeled his inner cowboy with the down-home southern accessory (and a full head of long hair). The film, which tells the story of a lawyer caught up with the drug-trafficking industry, also stars Cameron Diaz, Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Michael Fassbender.

Prometheus Review: An Alien Reboot with Solid Scares

How's this for a Father's Day conversation piece: an Alien reboot with Daddy issues?

In the film Prometheus, questioning where humans come from, scientists Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and Holloway (Logan Marshall-Green) board the spaceship Prometheus bound for a planet far from Earth that's depicted in cave drawings. The crew includes amiable Capt. Janek (Idris Elba), corporate suit Vickers (Charlize Theron) and android David (Michael Fassbender, courtly and fiendish in equal doses).

Thanks to director Ridley Scott's 1979 Alien, we know not to trust the droid. In fact, once the film's first hour puts the pieces in place, it's obvious how the second will unfold. Having taught us the Alien vocabulary of squidlike predators that infest humans, then burst out as even more horrific monsters, Scott can hardly be surprised that we know what's coming.

When it comes to romance, Michael Fassbender doesn't necessarily mix work and play – even if his current girlfriend is his former costar.

"Nothing happened while we were filming," he tells GQ magazine in its June issue, confirming his relationship with Shame actress Nicole Beharie, 27. "We started talking more on the promotion thing. So, yeah, it just sort of unfolded like that."

The two first garnered buzz after they were photographed in New York City.

And the award for best male member in a supporting role goes to … Michael Fassbender!

That's according to Charlize Theron, who jokingly saluted her Prometheus costar's anatomy on Saturday in reference to his several scenes of full-frontal nudity in Shame last year.

"Your penis was a revelation. I'm available to work with it any time," the new mom, 36, said at the Human Rights Campaign gala in Los Angeles, where she was honored with the Ally For Equality award, the L.A. Times reports.

Michael Fassbender Gets Carried Away at His Own Premiere Party

Don't feel bad for Michael Fassbender, who was left out of the Best Actor Oscar race despite his critically-acclaimed turn in Shame.

He appears to be in very good spirits.

The Irish actor, 34, was photographed Tuesday having a grand ol' time at the London afterparty for the premiere of his new film, A Dangerous Method. Fassbender was snapped taking a turn at the piano and dancing with his costar Keira Knightley – and Viggo Mortensen.

The night got so crazy that he made an unorthodox exit from the GQ-hosted bash, reports The Sun tabloid.

Oscar Nominations 2012: Was Leonardo DiCaprio Snubbed?

Originally posted 01/24/2012 12:55PM

Veteran movie stars Brad Pitt and George Clooney made the cut. So did funny girl Melissa McCarthy, along with fresher faces like Rooney Mara and Jean Dujardin. But, as usual, not everyone was recognized by the Academy Awards when the nominations were announced Tuesday morning.

In fact, some leading men who seemed a shoo-in for a gold statue were snubbed from the Best Actor category: Michael Fassbender, Ryan Gosling and Leonardo DiCaprio.
