Michael Strahan has been enjoying his time off.

Nearly two months have passed since the former NFL pro left his co-hosting position with Kelly Ripa at ABC's Live.

As for how he's grown in the months since his exit?

"You know what? I've learned to have fun," Strahan, 44, told E! News Thursday while attending a screening of Ice Age: Collision Course in New York with his 11-year-old twin daughters, Sophia and Isabella. (Strahan voices prehistoric hare Teddy in the movie.)

As soon as Kimmel sat down alongside Kelly Ripa on Monday as the first guest co-host, he went right into a round of burning questions.

"Where's Michael?" the late-night host asked Ripa, 45. "Let's start from the beginning, what happened?"

Ripa giggled but refused to go into detail about the departure of her former co-host, Michael Strahan, whose last day on the show was Friday.

On Friday, Strahan said farewell to Live, where he has served as Kelly Ripa's co-host since 2012.
