Jimmy Kimmel is taking over Live with Kelly.
As soon as Kimmel sat down alongside Kelly Ripa on Monday as the first guest co-host, he went right into a round of burning questions.
"Where's Michael?" the late-night host asked Ripa, 45. "Let's start from the beginning, what happened?"
Ripa giggled but refused to go into detail about the departure of her former co-host, Michael Strahan, whose last day on the show was Friday.

On Friday, Kelly Ripa and her co-host hugged and kissed while saying their final goodbyes before Strahan, 44, heads over to ABC's Good Morning America for his new role this fall. As the curtain closes on the former NFL pro's time at Live, questions still remain – who will replace Strahan?
First order of business, ABC has announced who'll fill the chair next to Ripa, 45, for the next two weeks.

On Friday, Strahan said farewell to Live, where he has served as Kelly Ripa's co-host since 2012.
And though he'll be back on our TV screens in September as a co-anchor on Good Morning America, it'll be a long summer without Strahan's signature hosting style (not to mention those short-shorts!).

Kelly Ripa has spent 16-years co-hosting Live – 10 of those in the seat next to founding co-host Regis Philbin.
Now, in the wake of Michael Strahan's departure from the show, Ripa is finding a path forward by looking back on the lessons she learned from Philbin, now 84.
"I just remember when Regis left it was so scary," Ripsa she tells PEOPLE in this week's issue. "Because we – meaning me – had never done this before. Regis had done it many times, and he was so good at it."
"It makes you terrified," Ripa continued. "Like can I do this without Regis being here?"
