Instead of 19 Kids and Counting, could viewers soon be watching 2 Brides and Their Grooms?

TLC pulled all episodes of 19 Kids when a resurfaced police report from 2006 revealed that one of the show's stars, Josh Duggar, had been investigated for child molestation when he was a teen.

The future of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting is on shaky ground following the revelation that a felony investigation was opened in 2006 after Josh Duggar was accused by his victims of molesting five underage girls.

In statements to PEOPLE, the Duggar family indirectly addressed the closed investigation by referring to the multiple incidents listed in the report unearthed by InTouch Weekly as "teenage mistakes."

Michelle and Jim Bob are "devastated" over the leak, a source close to the family tells PEOPLE. "They know that they did the best they could, but it doesn't mean they're not filled with regret."

What's at Stake for the Duggars if TLC Cancels 19 Kids and Counting?

Originally posted 05/26/2015 06:20PM

Just days after news broke that 19 Kids and Counting star Josh Duggar was allegedly involved in a shocking molestation scandal, TLC pulled the hit reality series from its schedule. Though no permanent decision has been made yet on the fate of the show, the Duggars stand to lose a lot when it comes to the family's profitable brand.

A source close to the series confirms they could lose an estimated $25,000 to $45,000 per episode, but that amount doesn't include any of other sources of income related to their 19 Kids and Counting fame. There were 22 episodes in season 9 of the show, which wrapped up May 19 and there have been 227 episodes total.

Online Commenter Warned About Josh Duggar Molestation Accusations 8 Years Ago

Originally posted 05/24/2015 06:05PM

When allegations that 19 Kids and Counting star Josh Duggar molested five young girls resurfaced this week, fans of the TLC reality show were shocked. To the millions of viewers who've tuned in each week, the Duggars personified family values, from their strict rules about modesty to their dedication to religion.

The illusion was shattered Thursday, when Josh, 27, admitted he "acted inexcusably" as a teenager. But rumors of the former Christian lobbyist's past are nothing new: They first surfaced online eight years ago. As Gawker's Defamer points out, a commenter called "Alice" recounted the allegations on a blog, ibiblio.org, in May 2007. Other sites such as FreeJinger.org have long cited Alice's comments.

Of the 2,460 people who live in Tontitown, Arkansas, none have made quite as many headlines as the 19-plus – and counting – in the Duggar family.

Since Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar invited cameras into their lives in 2008, viewers have seen the TLC stars through courtships, new additions and no shortage of controversy. Most recently, eldest son Josh Duggar spoke out in response to reports that he was once accused of molesting five underage girls as a teen.

"Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably, for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret," Josh, who resigned from his position at the Family Research Council as a result of the accusations becoming public, told PEOPLE in a statement. TLC has pulled 19 Kids and Counting from its schedule amid the reports.

19 Kids and Counting: Jim Bob Duggar Says Josie, 5, Will Outgrow Her Seizures

Originally posted 05/19/2015 10:05PM

It's been an eventful season of 19 Kids and Counting, which primarily followed Jessa's marriage to Ben Seewald and Jill and Derick Dillard's journey to parenthood.

However, there was one moment which stood in stark contrast to the rest of the season – when Josie, 5, began seizing out of nowhere under 25-year-old Jana's watch.

As Duggar patriarch Jim Bob revealed during Tuesday's finale of 19 Kids, though, it's expected that Josie will one day outgrow her seizures. "All of Josie's seizures have happened around a fever – normally an ear infection," he said during the aftershow special. "Typically, children will outgrow these by the time they're 10.
