Michelle Monaghan Calls Motherhood a 'Profound Love'

She's starred onscreen with Tom Cruise, Patrick Dempsey and Shia LaBeouf, but Michelle Monaghan said those films don't hold a candle to her new part – "the role of mommy."
The Eagle Eye actress, 32, gave birth to daughter Willow Katherine on Nov. 5. Three months later, "every day feels like Christmas," she told PEOPLE. "It's such a profound love. A couple of weeks ago I saw her discover her own toes and she wiggled them and her eyes got really big."
Monaghan ventured out on her own for a New York City amfAR gala Feb. 12. Leaving Willow at home in L.A. with husband Peter White was difficult for the actress. "It's my first night away from her," she says, "and I imagine I miss her more than she misses me."

Michelle Monaghan Has a Baby Girl

Michelle Monaghan is a mom!
The Eagle Eye actress and her husband Peter White, a graphic designer welcomed a baby girl, Willow Katherine, on Wednesday, according to Entertainment Tonight.
"The proud parents are overcome with joy," a rep for Monaghan, 32, told ET.
The couple announced her pregnancy news in June but in April Monaghan was already hinting to PEOPLE about her desire for a family. "I love children and it's something that I've always wanted, to be a mother and have kids," she said.

Patrick Dempsey Advises Michelle Monaghan on Parenting

Before Michelle Monaghan went public with news that she's pregnant with her first child, her Made of Honor costar, Patrick Dempsey was already aware of her condition.
"It was a big secret, and I wasn't allowed to tell anyone, but I knew Michelle was pregnant, and I am thrilled for her," Dempsey, 42, told PEOPLE on Friday – as he prepared to race this weekend in the Six Hours of the Glen Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series at Watkins Glen International in upstate New York.
"She will be a great mom because she has a good head on her shoulders, a fine husband, and overall, she is a lovely woman," he said.

Michelle Monaghan Expecting First Child

Made of Honor star Michelle Monaghan and her husband Peter White, a graphic designer, are expecting their first child, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.
Monaghan's rep Jennifer Allen, who confirms the news, says, "They are very excited." Monaghan, 32, is due in late fall.
The Mission: Impossible 3 beauty started dating White after the two met in a New York bar, and the couple married in August 2005.
At the Made of Honor premiere in New York in April, Monaghan told PEOPLE that children were "in our future, for sure."
"I love children and it's something that I've always wanted, to be a mother and have kids," she said.
