The daughter of Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood was discharged from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles Thursday after being admitted in critical condition following a pool accident on July 18.
"The doctors at Cedars are stunned by our little fighter," says Fleetwood's wife Lynn, who discovered her 6-year-old daughter, Ruby, unconscious after playing in a pool and swallowing too much water.
"Based on the condition Ruby was in when she arrived at the hospital 12 days ago, none of them expected her to have come this far in such a short time," adds Lynn. "She has blown them away with her strength and her will to survive."
Ruby is now walking on her own, drawing, kicking a ball, and recognizing more of her everyday words and objects, Lynn said in a statement. "Her smile is bright, her eyes sparkle and her sense of humor is funnier than ever before."
