Carrie Underwood: 'I Want To Be a Hot Wife!'
Originally posted 04/06/2013 04:20PM
"Um, where are we?" Carrie Underwood asks no one in particular as she gazes out the window at a landscape of brown grass and nondescript office buildings. "No, seriously. Where are we? " she asks again.
The answer is Windsor, Ont. – a Canadian suburb just outside Detroit – but the country superstar can be forgiven the momentary confusion: Windsor is the whopping 82nd stop on her smash Blown Away tour, which has kept her on the road for the better part of eight months.
She did get a two-day reprieve for her 30th birthday on March 10, which she planned to celebrate at home in Nashville with her husband, NHL star Mike Fisher.

Carrie Underwood hasn't seen her NHL star husband Mike Fisher for a week, her long tour schedule and his hockey season keeping the busy couple apart.
But she remains focused on staying tight. "You just have to make that your number one priority," Underwood, 30, who graces PEOPLE's current cover, said backstage at American Idol Thursday night.
"You see each other when you can and you talk to each other as much as you can," the singer told PEOPLE. "You just have to commit and make it work."

Carrie Underwood Hates Karaoke, Tabloids and Her Good-Girl Rep

She may be famous for her smash hit "Good Girl" – and her own squeaky-clean image – but sometimes Carrie Underwood just wants to be (a little) bad.
"It's great when you can write a meaningful song that touches people, but sometimes you just wanna have fun and sing a silly song that doesn't reflect on you as a person," says this week's PEOPLE cover girl. "It's just a jam you wanna turn up in your car."
But does the famously composed singer ever really cut loose?

Carrie Underwood: How I Keep My Marriage Hot
Originally posted 04/03/2013 08:00AM
Carrie Underwood has been living on a bus for her sell-out "Blown Away" tour for the better part of eight months now.
But even while on the road she has constant motivation for staying in shape: her hard-bodied husband, NHL star Mike Fisher.
"Even when he's like, 'I'm so out of shape,' he still has a six-pack," she tells PEOPLE in this week's cover story. "Having Mike there – I want to be a hot wife!"
Although she acknowledges that the frequent distance between them can be challenging, the six-time Grammy-winning singer, 30, says she would walk away from her career if it ever started to cause problems between her and Fisher, 32.

Carrie Underwood is singing the blues about her birthday.
"It's actually not my birthday," the country star, who turned 30 on Sunday, tells CMT Radio. "It is the first anniversary of my 29th birthday. So it's more of an anniversary celebration than a birthday. I mean, I'll still, like, blow out candles and stuff because I want my wish, but it's not a birthday."
Her hubby, Mike Fisher, on the other hand, loves all three decades of her in a sweet Tweet.

Carrie Underwood? Not so much.

"Well, folks, hockey is back!" she Tweeted on Sunday. "I just lost my purse holder but gained cheering on my hot husband as he kicks butt! #GoPreds."

Don't get Carried away!
After winning best country album at the 40th Annual American Music Awards on Sunday, Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher celebrated at Koi Los Angeles.
"They looked happier than ever. Carrie seemed overjoyed and excited throughout the evening and every time her husband made a toast," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "Her demeanor made it obvious to everyone – even those who didn't catch the show – that she had taken home an important award."
Underwood and Fisher weren't the only two enjoying Koi after the AMAs. On the back patio, Gloria Estefan, joined by her husband and several friends snacked on signature sushi rolls and crispy rice.
Still dressed up from the awards, the group "laughed and enjoyed themselves all night," the source adds.

Carrie Underwood Supports Gay Marriage
Originally posted 06/11/2012 06:00PM
Carrie Underwood has come out in favor of marriage equality.
"As a married person myself, I don't know what it's like to be told I can't marry somebody I love, and want to marry," the "Jesus, Take the Wheel" singer – and devout Christian – told Britain's The Independent newspaper.
"I can't imagine how that must feel," she said. "I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love."
Underwood says it's actually her faith that's led her to support gay marriage.
"Above all, God wanted us to love others," the recent CMT award winner said. "It's not about setting rules, or [saying] 'everyone has to be like me.' "

Tim McGraw Picks Up a Gun (and Takes Aim) for Charity
Originally posted 06/06/2012 01:15PM
It was a gorgeous, slightly breezy day in Nashville. There was a breakfast buffet stocked with muffins and fruit set up – and the sound of gunfire crackled loudly in the air.
Turns out, Tim McGraw had a specific target in mind.
"I'm going to take out Luke Bryan," the country superstar, and host of the charity Tug McGraw Celebrity Sporting Clay Shootout, said jokingly to PEOPLE Tuesday at the Nashville Gun Club. "He's a Georgia boy, and I'm a Louisiana boy, so I've got an advantage right off."
"But I'm a little rusty, so I'm aiming for Luke's foot," McGraw, slated to hit the road this weekend on his summer tour with Kenny Chesney, continued. "I think if I can take him out, I've got it."
