He may be known for cooking up hearty dinners for his Jersey Shore castmates, but when he's on his own, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is eating light. The reality star was in New York, where he stopped by Madison & Vine and ordered a junior salad. Restaurant sources say he was very serious about his food intake, and that he chatted with fellow diners about his appetite and his abs.

She may have clashed with Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, but Jersey Shore's new girl Deena Nicole Cortese seems to be making friends just fine – especially with the guys she hopes could become more than just friends.
From the get-go, she showed off her flirty side toward Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, stripping off her bikini bottoms in a not-so-sober moment.
"At the time, whenever I was drunk for some reason, I always thought Mike was good-looking," she says on Monday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show about her time in Seaside Heights, N.J. "When I'm not drunk, I'm like a normal person in front of him. When I'm drunk, I look embarrassing."

Sure, he puts in loads of time at the gym. But Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino continues to secretly work out his famous abs all day every day, literally whenever and wherever he can.
"While I'm walking, I do it. On airplanes, I do it. In cars, I do it – so when somebody asks, 'Hey, can I see your abs?' it's always there," the Jersey Shore star tells Men's Fitness in its December/January issue, on newsstands Nov. 15.
The secret is isometric contractions, which enables him to work out the muscles from a static position, without having to do sit-ups or make any other movement.

With the right dose of GTL – and a generous amount of hair gel – anyone can trick-or-treat like a Jersey Shore guido or guidette this Halloween. Even Ellen DeGeneres couldn't resist emulating Snooki's signature do for her costume this year.
"I think that's so cool. A million Snookis running around, a million Situations and Pauly Ds, it's funny," Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio told PEOPLE Thursday, adding that to get his or Snooki's look right, "the most important thing is obviously the hair."
But while Jersey Shore-style costumes fly off the shelves, what could the cast of the MTV series possibly dress up as for Halloween?
Following the "you are what you eat" mantra, Snooki will channel her favorite food: pickles.

Reality star, dancer, and now author – is there anything Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino can't do? (Or anywhere he won't flash his abs?)
The Jersey Shore star and former Dancing with the Stars contestant has a new book coming out. Titled Here's the Situation: A Guide to Creeping on Chicks, Avoiding Grenades, and Getting in Your GTL on the Jersey Shore, the cover features, shockingly, a photo of a grinning Sorrentino flashing his famous abs.
The book is published by Gotham and will released on Nov. 2.
The Situation may be the first author to come out of Jersey Shore, but his costar, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, is following in his footsteps, with plans to write a book of her own.

After a classic, Snooki-focused episode last week, the Jersey Shore turned its attention to Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino last night. Specifically, some of his more mysterious behaviors.
At the onset of the episode – the next to last of the season – The Sitch climbs into Snooki's bed with her to apologize for his behavior the night before, inexplicably holding a fistful of cash. Was he going to buy her forgiveness? Encourage her to do an impromptu striptease? The world may never know.
Then, when a leather-clad conquest obviously ditches him, he takes the opportunity the next morning to tell JWOWW that he was the one to turn the girl down. Um, Situation? Hate to break it to you, but the camera guys got the whole thing on film. The jig is up.

"It's a little sad," says Karina Smirnoff her and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino's elimination from Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday night. "We definitely thought we had a little bit more in us – maybe a couple more weeks."
Smirnoff, who spoke to PEOPLE after the show while the Jersey Shore star was treated for an injured neck, says she became close to her partner during all those rehearsals and all those scary elimination nights.
"He would make me laugh every minute of the rehearsal. So, I got to see the real Mike, and I love that," Smirnoff said. "He's definitely one of my closest friends. He's an amazing guy."

Another week, another bottom three ranking for Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino on Dancing With the Stars.
Trailing just below Bristol Palin and Kurt Warner, Sorrentino and his partner Karina Smirnoff failed to impress judges once again, coming in last place Monday night with a combined score of 28 out of 60.
Even Sorrentino's infamous abs, which were exposed on the show, could not save the Jersey Shore star from low scores. Did they save him from elimination? Or was it Palin or Warner who got the boot?

The judges didn't think much of his Argentine tango on Monday's Dancing with the Stars. But Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has one fan firmly in his corner: his dance partner, Karina Smirnoff.
"Honestly, I'm having such a blast this season," Smirnoff, 32, tells PEOPLE. "I'm trying things with Mike that I would never even attempt to try with anyone else. Definitely the best partner ever. I would never ask for anyone different."
That's a nice vote of confidence for Sorrentino, 28, who was torn to pieces by the judges after the tango, which Bruno Tonioli called "a terrible mess."
