If you have nothing nice to say … say it in print? It's probably not the best way to air your grievances, but it seems to be the motto among celebrities penning memoirs of late.
On Friday, word leaked of Tori Spelling's dis at Katie Holmes in her forthcoming book Spelling It Like It Is, in which she describes the former Mrs. Cruise as "plastic."
"As I sat waiting outside his music room, I heard his prior appointment working with him in the other room. It was some actress singing horribly off-key," Spelling writes of bumping into Holmes during a visit to her vocal coach. "I heard him say good-bye and then the actress walked out of the room. It was Katie Holmes."

In what almost seems like a scene out of Fatal Attraction, former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson recounted how an ex-girlfriend boiled and ate one his pet pigeons.
Speaking Thursday on the WFAN's Boomer & Carton show, Tyson, who lives near Las Vegas and has raised pigeons since before his boxing career, said he was aghast by what went down.
"I was dating this young lady and she said, 'I don't know why you're flying those damn birds, you should be eating them,' " Tyson, 46, told the hosts. "She happened to grab one – and she cooked one and proceeded to eat it. And I just couldn't do it."

Oprah Winfrey's cancelation of Rosie O'Donnell's OWN Network show last week didn't rain on the parade of O'Donnell's 50th birthday bash. If anything, it provided reason to amp up Monday night's celebrating.
Arriving with her fiancée Michelle Rounds at the Paris Club's sexy upstairs lounge Studio Paris in Chicago – festooned in yellows and blues with lots of chandeliers – the birthday girl kicked things off by addressing her show's recent demise and encouraging her production team and other attendees to have a great time.

Charlie Sheen's been through so much – what more could people say about him, even at a roast?
That was the feeling Saturday at a Comedy Central-sponsored roast at Sony Studios in Culver City, Calif., where friends of the actor lobbed insults his way – but in interviews before the event, wished him nothing but good luck.
An edited version of the shindig will air on the cable network Sept. 19, opposite the debut of Ashton Kutcher on Sheen's former CBS sitcom, Two and a Half Men.

Mike Tyson will be starting 2010 on a good note: Los Angeles prosecutors declined to file charges against the boxer after he allegedly punched a photographer at L.A. International Airport last month.
"After a full and thorough review, we've decided not to file charges against either party due to insufficient evidence," L.A. City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan said Thursday.

It may come down to a tale of the videotape.
A publicist for Mike Tyson says the former boxing champ was merely defending his wife and 10-month-old child after an altercation with an overaggressive photographer at LAX on Wednesday.
"Mike acted in self-defense as a father protecting his child," said Tyson's spokeswoman Tammy Brook.

Mike Tyson remains unclear about the details surrounding the death in May of his 4-year-old daughter Exodus – and the boxing legend prefers it that way, he says.
"Because if I know, then there might be a blame for it," Tyson, 43, tells Oprah Winfrey on her show set to air Monday, Oct. 12. "And if there's somebody to blame for it, there will be a problem."
An unconscious Exodus was found by her 7-year-old brother, Miguel. She was entangled in a cord, dangling from an exercise treadmill, and subsequently died of her injuries.
