Things are heating up for the hottest couple of the moment: actor Aaron Eckhart and model-turned-actress (and now jewelry designer) Molly Sims.

Reports first circulated last week that they shared an intimate dinner at Sullivan’s Steakhouse in Baton Rouge, followed by a report Tuesday that Sims gushed to friends, "Aaron's a great guy!"

Sources have now confirmed to PEOPLE that the two are in fact a couple and have been quietly dating for a few weeks.

Molly Sims has a simple message when asked about her former Las Vegas costar Josh Duhamel's rumored infidelity: "Don't believe everything you read."

"We e-mailed yesterday," she tells E!'s Daily 10 on Wednesday. "It's absolutely not true – and he's a great guy. I've worked with him for five years."


Duhamel has vigorously defended himself against allegations by Nicole Forrester, a stripper in Atlanta, who said she had sex with Duhamel one night at the St. Regis Hotel. Forrester also sold her story to the National Enquirer for more than $20,000.

Sticking to a diet and exercising more may be typical New Year's resolutions, but at least two glamorous stars are thinking more globally for 2005. In Good Company star Scarlett Johansson pledged to get more active politically, especially as far as the Iraq war is concerned. "We have a choice to do something here, and I can only hope that our president will have the social consciousness to do the right thing," she told us. "We do have a chance to do the right thing. We need to think about how we can help people, but make a decision before things escalate even further, to the detriment of both countries." Party girl Lindsay Lohan also showed her caring side: "One of my resolutions is that I've wanted to open a charity for a while," she said. "I want to go overseas to Cambodia if I can. I'd like to go over and just give back more. People don't really take the time to do that. You need to go out and give to people."
