After, "Who are you wearing?," the most important question on the Oscars' red carpet is "Who are you here with?"
Celebrity couples are always alluring. Drench them in tulle, tuxes and accolades, and they become nearly irresistible. But it's a shame that today's biggest stars can't hob knob with the glamorous old guard of Tinseltown ... or can they?

Natalie Wood's bruises and scratches on her arm, wrist and neck may have been suffered before she entered the ocean off Catalina Island and drowned in 1981, the Los Angeles County Coroner now says in a newly revised autopsy report.
The coroner's supplemental report is more verbose than the original report, and it details what the Sheriff's Department learned in the new inquiry that it announced over a year ago, reigniting speculation that her death was no accident.

These days, Hollywood's most familiar faces – from Leonardo DiCaprio to Kirsten Dunst to Angelina Jolie – bring their star power to the French Riviera for the Cannes Film Festival.
But before them, glitz and glamour was defined by big-screen veterans such as Warren Beatty and Natalie Wood (pictured here in black-and-white nearly 20 years before she mysteriously drowned).
In honor of the 65th annual Cannes Film Festival, which begins Wednesday with a screening of Wes Anderson's star-studded Moonrise Kingdom (its ensemble cast includes Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton), Life.com is paying homage to old Hollywood with photographs taken at the festival 50 years ago in 1962, such as this snapshot of Wood.

The official cause of Natalie Wood's 1981 death remains accidental drowning, as investigators say they have found nothing to dispute that in the two months since they re-opened the case.
"At this point, it is an accidental death," William McSweeney, chief of detectives for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, tells the Los Angeles Times. "Nothing has been discovered to suggest changing that at this time."
The case has not been closed, but McSweeney said it is unlikely anything new will be uncovered about death of the actress, who was 43 when she died.

As authorities reopen the 30-year-old case of Natalie Wood, they plan to reach out to her then-husband – and perhaps the last person to see her alive – actor Robert Wagner.
But when asked at a news conference whether Wagner is a suspect, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. John Corina answered, "No."
Two detectives have been assigned to follow what Corina called new leads. They will also interview possible new witnesses and speak to people who didn't talk to police originally or who have different information than they first provided.
"Already people are coming forwarding and wanting to talk to us," says Corina.

What happened to Natalie Wood?
That is the question the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office hopes to answer regarding the Nov. 29, 1981, death of the adored movie star, it was announced late Thursday.
On Friday morning's Today show, the captain of the boat Wood fled the night of her drowning alleged that her husband, Robert Wagner, was responsible for her death.
"I made mistakes by not telling the honest truth in a police report," Dennis Davern also said on the NBC program.
