Amy Purdy and Derek Hough were declared safe right away and kicked off the night with a 36-out-of-40-point rumba to a slowed-down rendition of "Light My Fire" by the Doors.
"You lit my fire! ... First out, first class," head judge Len Goodman told the pair, while Martin gushed, "You were stunning. You made me feel a lot of things."
But the night wasn't entirely a win for Purdy, who was sent to the hospital shortly after her performance with a shoulder injury. She was unable to perform the group dance with her team at the end of the evening, and the dress rehearsal dance was used to judge the routine (more on that later).

The Real Housewives of Atlanta" reunion continued Sunday night without Porsha Williams but still with lots of fighting.
Part two focused on making sense of last week's hair-pulling brawl between Williams Kenya Moore, the ongoing tension between Kandi Burruss and her mother and the fractured friendship between NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey.
"You had a bullhorn in her face," Leakes said to Moore about the brawl. "You are not innocent."

Get ready to par-TAY!
Monday night's Dancing with the Stars showcased party anthems, with guest judge Redfoo from LMFAO helping to weed out the ho-hum from the fun.
James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd entered as the charmed couple after getting a perfect score on Disney week, while Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas were just holding on and Drew Carey and Cheryl Burke hoped that audience scores would prop them up for another week.
Except, that didn't happen.

After weeks of hearing about the brawl between enemies Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams – which resulted in Moore charging Williams with battery and a subsequent arrest warrant being issued – viewers finally were able to witness the fight on part one of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion Sunday night.
As with most fights, this one started stupidly, escalated quickly and ended sadly. (Watch the video below.)
And to think it all started with a scepter, which Moore, 43, wielded as the reunion began.

There's been no lack of excitement during season 18 of Dancing with the Stars.
Following an unexpected double elimination last week, this week's show – which featured Robin Roberts as a guest judge – had one couple backing out of the competition due to injury, and the rest of the couples digging into their most personal moments and sharing them with a teary-eyed audience during a most memorable year-themed episode.

NeNe Leakes told Cynthia Bailey's husband, Peter Thomas, to stop acting like "a bitch" on Sunday's The Real Housewives of Atlanta", and the word and its delivery was nearly enough to break up a close friendship.
After Thomas and Gregg Leakes went loco in Mexico, and NeNe inserted herself into the ongoing masquerade ball battle – telling Thomas that he needed to stay out of the women's business – the longtime friends went after one another.

Tony Dovolani has gotten to know partner NeNe Leakes quite well over the last few weeks during Dancing with the Stars rehearsals – and one thing he's learned quickly: she isn't one to tone down the energy.
"God forbid I'm having one of those tough days, she'll start dancing with me and rubbing on me. I immediate have a smile on my face," Dovolani, 40, told PEOPLE backstage right after Monday night's show, where he and the TV personality were declared safe to move on to next week's competition. "We hit it off right off the bat."
Expressing his gratitude to fans for voting them on for another week, Dovolani said it will give the dancing duo "the opportunity to show off NeNe's real side," adding, "Everybody's got this perception of NeNe. I've grown to really respect her and adore her. I think she's actually a big teddy bear. She treats me like gold. We really have a good time."

Monday night's Dancing with the Stars kicked off with a selection of surprises.
Not only did contestants learn right at the beginning that there was a double elimination to take place during the show, but the leader board's lowest scorer Billy Dee Williams – whose face expressed fear of being sent home – was saved almost immediately, and went on to dance a 15-point tango with Emma Slater that judge Len Goodman said "didn't have enough attack."
Before getting to the unfortunate two who were forced to bid adieu, here's a recap of how the night went overall:
