To the moon, Leo!
An unnamed bidder at Thursday night's amFAR Cinema Against AIDS Charity auction paid $1.5 million for a trip into outer space with Leonardo DiCaprio during the group's 20th anniversary gala at the Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc.
A few minutes later, after a lot of encouragement from guest emcee Sharon Stone, another couple paid $2.3 for two seats on the same Virgin Galactic voyage. All told, the evening brought in $25 million for the cause, up from $11 million last year.
All three astronauts will spend three days in training with DiCaprio in Texas and then sit next to him when they blast into the stratosphere aboard one of Sir Richard Branson's new fleet of spaceships.

Keith Urban: I Don't Ever Want to Humiliate American Idol Contestants
Originally posted 03/25/2013 08:00PM
Keith Urban agrees with acid-tongued American Idol mentor Jimmy Iovine, who said the show's judges need to be tougher.
But the country superstar says being an artist critiquing artists is harder than it looks.
"He is right," says Urban, who sits on the panel alongside Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson. "It is not easy for us a lot of the time because we are just coming from a different place. We're artists talking to a young artist on camera in front of millions of people, trying to give constructive criticism in a way that doesn't humiliate them. I don't ever want to humiliate somebody."

Originally posted 02/10/2013 09:15PM
A dress code at the Grammy Awards seems as likely to be enforced as a profanity ban for Quentin Tarantino movies. Still, the stars were ordered to cover up this year.
So, did they?
Jennifer Lopez and Kelly Rowland may have crossed a line with their outfits – Lopez in an Anthony Vaccarello dress with a high thigh slit, and Rowland in a Georges Chakra outfit that showed lots of skin.

Nicole Kidman: Violence Is 'More Shocking' Than Sex
Originally posted 01/16/2013 06:00PM
In the age of reality television, many are left wondering where the glitz and glamour of old time Hollywood has gone, including Nicole Kidman.
"I actually don't even know what a movie star is now – what is a movie star?" she asks in the Hollywood Reporter.
"When the best female part of the year is Claire Danes in Homeland, you know the game's changed. Maybe in the '50's, there was a far more particular idea for a movie star. But now that's all blurry – everything's more fluid," she says.
