Owen Wilson Turns to Cartoons for Inspiration
Originally posted 05/15/2009 09:20AM
Hamlet? Richard III? A Streetcar Named Desire's Stanley Kowalski? Just who did inspire Owen Wilson when it came time to reprise his role as the cowboy Jedediah in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian?
"I watched a lot of Yosemite Sam," the actor, 40, told PEOPLE at Thursday's premiere of the movie at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. And the best part of playing a miniature cowboy was "knowing you were never going to hear from the director, 'Owen, that was too much!' It's like the guy's over the top. So, however kind of loud and Yosemite Sam-like you can be, it's going to be good."

Originally posted 03/03/2009 11:15AM
Presidential polls are like, so 2008. Which perhaps is why AOL's men's lifestyle site Asylum.com recently asked who is the celebrity most guys wish to party with.
Of the more than 83,000 respondents, 40 percent named Megan Fox, while 31 percent chose Tina Fey.
Trailing the Transformers star and the 30 Rock lifeforce, respectively – and by quite a distance – are Paris Hilton, Penélope Cruz, Kim Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan.

Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson Chow on Dog Treats
Originally posted 03/01/2009 12:30PM
Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston went barking up the wrong tree Saturday in Germany.
When the Marley and Me stars appeared on the popular German variety show Wetten, dass …?, they ended up with a mouthful of dog biscuit.
The show asks celebrity visitors to bet whether a special guest can perform the talent they claim to have. This time, it was a German woman who boasted that she could identify each of her team of Husky dogs by the sound of them lapping up soup. Wilson didn't believe she could do it, while Aniston bet on her.
Then the show's host, Thomas Gottschalk, told them that whoever lost the bet would have to eat a few dog biscuits. "I wish I had known the stakes first," Wilson said.

Kate Hudson & Owen Wilson's French Adventure
Originally posted 02/26/2009 03:05PM
After a low-key weekend of bike rides and late night dinners in Paris,
Owen Wilson and very on-again girlfriend Kate Hudson took their French break on the road – for a run along the Normandy coastline.
Heading 90 miles north of Paris on Tuesday, the same day that Wilson's Marley & Me costar Jennifer Aniston flew into Paris, the couple mixed sightseeing with small restaurants, picturesque ports, and shopping, and
found time for a walk among the crosses lining the U.S. cemetery above Omaha Beach.
After making the two-hour drive, Wilson, 40, and Hudson, 29, stopped first in the port of Trouville-sur-Mer, settling in at the town's celebrated portside terrace restaurant, Les Vapeurs. "They were like any normal young couple," one staffer tells PEOPLE. "She held his hand and they were very nice, no pretensions."

Hollywood's on-again, off-again couple – Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson – are on yet again.
"They're back together," a source tells PEOPLE of the pair, who spent all of Sunday together at Wilson's Malibu home. Also there: Hudson's 5-year-old son Ryder.
Hudson, 29, and Wilson, 40, most recently re-united in Feb. 2008, when they appeared cozy at last year's Academy Awards. The two continued to hang out for several months – even celebrating Hudson's birthday in Miami – before breaking up again in May 2008.

Jennifer Aniston Calls Owen Wilson 'Brave'
Originally posted 11/03/2008 02:30PM
Jennifer Aniston has nothing but compliments for her Marley & Me costar Owen Wilson.
"Owen Wilson is so divine in this film," the actress tells the L.A. Times. "I've never seen him play a part like this. He was a man; he was a husband; he was a father."
In a reference to some of Wilson's personal struggles, Aniston adds, "I feel like, how brave of him, to walk through the year that he walked through."
Wilson was hospitalized in 2007 for an apparent suicide attempt. Marley & Me, due out Dec. 25, is one of his first roles since the incident.

Luke Wilson Opens Up About Filming with His Brothers
Originally posted 08/15/2008 12:00PM
It's no secret that the Wilson brothers – Owen, Luke and Andrew – love working together. But, as Luke confesses, mixing business and family "can be good and bad."
For example, says Luke – at 36 the youngest of the brothers – on the set of The Wendell Baker Story, in which he and Andrew, 43, directed Owen, 39, there was a moment or two when the three didn't see eye-to-eye. And, like most brothers, they resolved their differences fairly: the biggest one won.
"Owen basically said he was done with the scene, and we didn't feel like we'd gotten it," Luke said recently. "So Andrew is like, 'You're done? You're not going to do it again?' [He] looks at me, and I'm like, 'I can't, you're bigger than he is, just kick his ass. Just kick his ass, man.'"

Ben Stiller Speaks Out on Owen Wilson's Inner Pain
Originally posted 07/18/2008 02:40PM
They may be all laughs together on the silver screen, but when it comes to friend Owen Wilson's attempted suicide last year, Tropic Thunder star Ben Stiller is gravely serious.
"I love Owen, and I felt bad that he had to deal with all the outside bulls--," the comic actor, 42, tells Playboy in its August issue. "It's impossible to understand that kind of pain – depression or anything like that – until you're in it."
On a cheerier note, Stiller admits to idolizing costar Robert Downey Jr. on the Thunder set.

A little rain won't stop the sightseeing! An umbrella-toting Owen Wilson, strolling through Paris' Jardin des Tuileries in a straw hat, white suit and sky blue shirt. The actor escaped the wet weather after a bit, slipping into the gardens' Jeu de Paume art gallery where he perused the Richard Avedon photography exhibition. The actor then took off in – no, not a private car! – the city's Metro.
