'Tanning Mom' Patricia Krentcil Wasn't Always So Bronzed

Patricia Krentcil, the feisty "Tanning Mom" accused in April of taking her 5-year-old daughter into a tanning bed with her, was once an aspiring model, it has come to light.
In photos taken at the time she was applying to a modeling agency, Krentcil had yet to sport her much-discussed toasted look, reports the New York Post, which spoke to Krentcil's husband, Rich, outside his Nutley, N.J., home Tuesday.
"As far as I know, that was her," he confirmed about the photos, while admitting not to know who took the shots or how they might have suddenly reappeared.
"It was probably a good, at least 15 years ago," he said about when they would have been taken.

Patricia Krentcil is feeling the burn from tanning salons near her northern New Jersey home, with Planet Sun's eight locations reportedly banning the tanning mom from their premises.
"It's 100 percent true. She's banned," an employee at Planet Sun's Ridgefield, N.J., headquarters tells New York's Daily News.
But Krentcil, 44, who has pleaded not guilty to charges of child endangerment after allegedly taking her 6-year-old daughter tanning, says the ban doesn't matter – because she's on a tanning break.

Patricia Krentcil, the New Jersey woman who's become known as "Tanning Mom," is now laughing with her critics instead of lashing out at them.
Krentcil told the New York Post she was amused by Kristen Wiig's impersonation of her on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
"It was well done," Krentcil quipped, according to the Post. "The whole thing was hysterical."

"Tanning Mom" Patricia Krentcil has now officially had her moment in the sun: She's been lampooned on Saturday Night Live.
The joking around took place during the Weekend Update with Seth Meyers, when, in a trail of smoke, Kristen Wiig showed up at the news desk looking like Krentcil, the New Jersey mom who's pleaded not guilty to bringing her 6-year-old daughter into a tanning bed with her.
Expanding upon the real Krentcil's remarks to a reporter this week that critics of her look are "jealous," "fat" and "ugly," Wiig said, "Though I can't blame them for being jealous. I am alluring in a way they will never be."

Patricia Krentcil, the slender, leathery New Jersey mom who's pleaded not guilty to bringing her 6-year-old daughter into a tanning bed with her, is heatedly lashing out at those who may criticize her look.
"They're jealous, they're fat and they're ugly," Krentcil, 44, told TMZ, after saying that "there's somebody out there my whole life who doesn't like me."
She agreed with the reporter's suggestion that she is the victim of a witch hunt, and once again proclaimed her innocence in the matter that has gained national attention.

Mother Pleads Not Guilty to Child Endangerment Charge in Tanning Salon Incident

Patricia Krentcil, a Nutley, N.J., resident who has been tanning her "whole life," pled not guilty to charges of child endangerment on Wednesday after she was accused to taking her fair-skinned daughter into a tanning bed with her.
Krentcil's daughter, 6, apparently showed up to school one day with a sunburn, telling friends she went tanning with her mom. But Krentcil – whose skin is an unnatural shade of dark brown as a result of bronzing – says the whole thing is "preposterous" to WCBS New York.
