Pete Doherty Fined $2,000 for Camera Smash

Pete Doherty has been fined $2,000 in a British court for breaking the lens of a photographer who had been following him and his family last August, Agence France-Presse reports.
The troubled 29-year-old Brit has been in and out of prison for everything from
drug possession to failure to appear in court.
"Yeah, it’s OK today,' Doherty said outside the courthouse. "It should have been sorted out ages ago to be honest. It's been hanging over me for a long time."

Warrant of Arrest Issued for Pete Doherty

Babyshambles musician Pete Doherty has a warrant out for his arrest after failing to appear in court Thursday to face charges of criminal damage – for chasing a woman a year ago after she allegedy shot a photo of his then-girlfriend, Irina Lazareanu, reports the BBC.
Doherty, 28, is now expected to have a new date set to deal with the court.

Pete Doherty Jailed for Parole Violations

British rocker Peter Doherty has been sent to jail for breaching a court order, PEOPLE has confirmed.
"Today, Peter Doherty was sentenced to a total of 14 weeks in jail for being in breach of his probation order," record company rep Jon Bills said in a prepared statement Tuesday.
"Unfortunately Peter has had to postpone his show at the Royal Albert Hall on April 26th.The show is due to be rescheduled and all tickets will be valid for the new date once it has been announced. Peter was very much looking forward to the show and would like to offer his sincerest apologies to all his fans and to all those concerned."
If Doherty, 29, is refused early release he will also miss performing at Britain's legendary outdoor festival at Glastonbury in late June.

Pete Doherty is making headlines again – and it's not about his bad behavior!
The British singer is joining forces with his former Libertines bandmate, Carl Barat, to write a musical for a well-respected London theater, the BBC reports.
The show – about the struggles of an up-and-coming rock band – is "very much in the early stages of development, with no deadlines attached," confirmed a rep for the Donmar Warehouse theater.

Amy Winehouse's Dad Doesn't Approve of Pete Doherty

Now that her husband is in jail, Amy Winehouse seems to be spending more time with Pete Doherty – and her father is not happy about it.
In fact, seeing the often-arrested Babyshambles star out with his daughter made dad Mitch Winehouse "apoplectic," he told Grazia magazine.
"I do worry about people like Pete Doherty. He's a scumbag," the upset father told the magazine. "I flipped when I saw him sitting with Amy backstage at her Brixton gig. That night I went crazy. My wife thought I was going to have a heart attack. I was apoplectic."

Record company reps for Pete Doherty sent PEOPLE an apologetic statement Wednesday in an attempt to shame the Babyshambles singer into sobriety. It was just Tuesday that the troubled star spoke out about missing drugs – and photos surfaced of him allegedly using heroin again.

Pete Doherty Admits He Misses Drugs

Singer Pete Doherty is struggling to stay sober after completing his court-ordered rehab.
"It's hard work. I think I miss it a bit. ... I'm in mourning. I'm in mourning for an armful," the Babyshambles frontman told British music site NME.com about his heroin addiction.

Pete Doherty Avoids Jail on Latest Charges

British rocker Pete Doherty avoided jail Friday for his most recent drug and driving offenses – getting instead a suspended sentence, a fine and a guarded vote of confidence from a judge in London.
Doherty, 28, received a four-month suspended term, was fined close to $1,000, was placed under court supervision for 18 months and given a 12-month drug treatment order, the Associated Press reports.

Pete Doherty is vowing to stay off drugs, and an English court no longer feels the need to monitor that promise.
Doherty, 28, a musician best known as Kate Moss's ex-boyfriend, was released on Wednesday from a drug treatment order in the U.K., ending 18 months of court supervision, the Associated Press reports.
