Pete Wentz: 'John Mayer Is One Of My Favorite Dudes'

Pete Wentz has a lotta love for his boy John Mayer.
"John Mayer is one of my favorite dudes," the Fall Out Boy, 29, writes on his blog, "A Homeboy's Life."
"Not even in some fantasy way," writes Wentz. "Just in the way that he is in on the joke, while you are simply laughing at it."
This isn't the first time Wentz has given Mayer, 30, kudos. The two artists expressed their mutual admiration for one another on their respective blogs back in May.

Pete Wentz: 'I'm Becoming My Dad'

Think Pete Wentz is living the glamorous life of a rock star? Think again, the Fall Out Boy musician and expectant dad tells Ryan Seacrest.
"I'm becoming my dad, actually," he said during an interview on Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show Thursday. "I get up at 7 a.m. to drive [to work] down Sunset with traffic that I complain about. And then I come home, and I have a pregnant wife and two puppies."
Wentz, who is hosting the MTV show FNMTV Premieres, says that he spends his time "cleaning up puppy poop" and helping fulfill wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz's pregnancy cravings, which include "green olives on everything."

Pete Wentz: I Talk to the Baby All the Time

These days when he isn't rocking out with Fall Out Boy, Pete Wentz can often be found speaking to his unborn child or reading books about fatherhood.
"I talk to it all the time," he told PEOPLE Saturday at the Ultimate Fighting Championship 86 afterparty in Las Vegas. "The Expectant Father tells you that the woman, when she speaks, the baby hears her all the time. And the father's voice isn't familiar unless you talk to it, so I talk to it all the time."
Armin Brott's parenthood tome is just one of the books the bassist is reading to prepare himself for his and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz's first child together.

Pete Wentz Hits the Right Note on 'Ballgame'

Papa Joe Simpson can be proud. His son-in-law, Pete Wentz, "nailed" a recent performance of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" – a song once mangled by his other daughter's beau.
Ashlee Simpson's new hubby performed a stunning rendition of the baseball tune at Chicago's Wrigley Field on Sunday. Last month, Jessica Simpson's boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, made headlines when he sang an off-key version of the same song also at Wrigley Field.
"We've had both [Simpson] significant others," says Chicago Cubs manager of entertainment and player relations, Joe Rios. "It's like comparing apples to oranges. But they were both great in their own ways."

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz have a new addition to their family: a 10-week-old puppy.
"The newest addition to the family. Meet Rigby," writes Wentz about their new pet.
Wentz is known for his love of pets: His dog Hemingway was the ringbearer for his May wedding to Ashlee, who showed off her baby bump at Wentz's bar opening last week.

Ashlee Shows Off Baby Curves at Pete's Bar Opening

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz displayed her new mommy-to-be figure in a fitted black dress at the opening of husband Pete Wentz's bar Angels & Kings in Chicago.
The party in Wentz's hometown on Tuesday night doubled as another 29th birthday bash for the Fall Out Boy bassist, who also celebrated with a party at Foxtail in L.A. on his actual birthday, June 5.
Wentz and Simpson-Wentz, 23, arrived in an SUV around 7:30 p.m. and were greeted by his parents. Simpson-Wentz, in black high heels, posed for a few pictures with her husband before heading inside with her in-laws.

The group of about 10 arrived sans reservations, but, no problem, the restaurant's manager said they were able to get a booth in the back. According to the manager, the couple looked "so adorable," and the group was laughing throughout lunch. Before leaving, the newlyweds indulged in another tradition: They signed the restaurant's wall.

Pete Wentz Says He's 'Excited to Be a Dad'

Newlywed Pete Wentz is ready to embrace fatherhood for the first time.
In an interview with E! News on Tuesday night at the Op clothing launch party in Los Angeles, Wentz revealed he's "excited to be a dad."
"I'm genuinely a nervous person in general," said Wentz.
But finding out he was expecting a child with wife Ashlee Simpson, whom he married in a fantasy wedding on May 17, was an exception.
"The first time I ever went to the doctor's office and heard the (baby's) heartbeat, I felt totally content and at peace with everything," he said.

Fall Out Boy Contemplates a New Release

A new marriage and a baby on the way won't keep Pete Wentz from releasing a new album with fellow members of Fall Out Boy. The only question is when.
"The band is really not talking about a record yet, but we're all itching to do one," guitarist Patrick Stump tells Billboard.com, adding that at Wentz's recent wedding to Ashlee Simpson, "we were like, 'We should do another record.'"
Stump hopes the band performs a few concerts this year to avoid getting rusty. Meanwhile, they are concentrating on "life stuff." While Wentz prepares to start a family, Stump is directing a short film and producing music by Gym Class Heroes.
“We're always writing," says Stump. "We've had material since [2007's] Infinity on High dropped. So there is plenty just floating around.”
“There is nothing 'hiatus' or 'indefinite' about what's going on with Fall Out Boy right now."
