Ashlee & Pete's Lovey-Dovey Night Out in Chicago

Originally posted 08/18/2009 06:00AM

Pete Wentz celebrated the first anniversary of his Chicago bar Angels & Kings – and his love for wife Ashlee, who partied by his side. After performing in the Windy City with his band Fall Out Boy, Wentz headed to the bar, where he cuddled with his wife at their VIP table. Simpson was drinking champagne casually throughout the night and also had a long conversation with her friend. When Wentz headed over to deejay booth to sing "Happy Birthday" to the club, he also dedicated Oasis's "Wonderwall" to Ashlee, singing along to the song and pointing at her across the room. And she returned the affection, mouthing "I love you" at her hubby and blowing him kisses. Contrary to online reports of any disagreement between the couple, an eyewitness says the two were "both smiling the whole time and rocking out to the music."

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz have gone silent – as part of a protest against the passage of the gay marriage ban in California.

The pair posed for this dramatic shot to support the NOH8 campaign – a photo project created by photographer Adam Bouska and his partner Jeff Parshley in response to the passage of Proposition 8 in California.

The photos, which represent people being silenced by the proposition which struck down the right for gay couples to marry, were shot at the Noho Lofts in North Hollywood on Monday, June 8. Blink 182's Mark Hoppus was also photographed for the project.

Pete Wentz's New York City bar, Angels & Kings, has temporarily been shut down for allegedly serving alcohol to minors.

New York Police authorities closed the Manhattan East Village bar Friday amid reports that alcoholic drinks had been served to underage customers. The violations have been placed on the bar's front door stating the venue has been "closed by court order."

A spokesperson for Angels & Kings tells PEOPLE: "There was an outstanding legal issue which the owners are now working to correct."

This is the bar's third citation, but the previous two citations were thrown out of court earlier this year. According to New York Liquor Authority spokesman William Crowley, however, the previous violations could still result in penalties and punitive measures.

Watch out Samantha Ronson, there are new celebrity deejays in town!

While some already make their living in rock bands, now many more musicians and actors are stepping behind the turntables (or iPods), and moonlighting as deejays at the hottest clubs and parties. Here's everything you need to know about some of the most notable:

Ryan Gosling

Signature Sound: Favorites from the '50s, '60s, '80s, indie rock and old-fashioned rock 'n' roll – anything from the Andrew Sisters to Bruce Springsteen to Edwin Collins. Gosling occasionally takes requests but he really just plays his favorites.
The Venue: Bardot Hollywood. He has a regular slot there Thursday nights.
Special Guests: Liv Tyler, Kate Hudson and Mick Jagger have caught Gosling's set.
Time to (Break)Dance: He draws a crowd – and hooks them! Gosling has been known to rile up clubgoers by positioning a spotlight on the dance floor. He also mingles, and people even breakdance to his music – including his deejay partner and best bud Zach Shields.
