It was 10 years ago today that TheFacebook.com first surged to life in a Harvard dorm room.
In the decade since, the rise of Facebook has been good for a whole lot of people: Mark Zuckerberg, obviously, and your cousin who just had a baby, for another.

Brad Pitt is ending 2013 in a big way – by celebrating his 50th birthday on Dec. 18.
It's hard to believe this man has graced us with his golden locks and sexy squint for half a century. Our introduction to his sculpted visage in Thelma & Louise is still very fresh in our minds, but that was 22 years ago and Brad has stayed busy. In 2013, the actor starred in the blockbuster World War Z and the award show darling 12 Years a Slave, and – as always – he continued to make headlines with his beautiful family.

Of the many charming things about Pitbull, perhaps the most charming is his ability to have a blast wherever he goes. A beach party? A weird roof? The set of Men in Black III? All are made just a little more fun with Pitbull's goofy grin.
Fresh off his successful night hosting the American Music Awards, Pitbull took to his Facebook page to premiere the new video for his Ke$ha collaboration "Timber." Fitting the song's country-western vibe, the video finds Mr. Worldwide living it up in a classic Southern honky-tonk along with Ke$ha, a Nashville native.

When it came to the winners, there wasn't much controversy for the American Music Awards, which handed out trophies to Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake and Macklemore.
But as anyone watching the show will tell you, the actual awards ended up taking a backseat to the night's many performers, who incited Twitter trends and plenty of head-scratching as the evening wore on.

Undeterred by a torrential rainstorm that shut down the green carpet, the stars of Latin music gathered to award Carlos Vives with song of the year for "Volvi a Nacer" at the Latin Grammys.
PEOPLE sexy man Pitbull won for best urban performance for "Echa Pa'lla (Manos Pa'rriba)" at the 14th annual awards show Thursday night in Las Vegas.
"This is for all the Latinos in all the world," said the singer, who'll also be hosting the American Music Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles, and the rest of America, will enjoy a taste of Nashville when the lights go down at the Nokia Theater this Sunday for the 2013 American Music Awards.
Taylor Swift and Hayden Panettiere – the Nashville-bred singer and ABC's Nashville star – will be among the presenters at the show, PEOPLE has learned.
Chris Daughtry, Dave Grohl and Emma Roberts will also take the stage to present at the ceremony, which brings together the top-selling musical artists across all genres.

Yes, he made the list of PEOPLE's Sexiest Men Alive, but rapper Pitbull has a message for all the guys out there: You, too, can be sexy.
The rapper (real name: Armando Christian Pérez) tells PEOPLE that you don't have to look like a movie star to be attractive to the opposite sex.
"I think being sexy is about more than just looks," he says. "In fact, I think you can be sexy without being good-looking."
Pitbull, who will host the American Music Awards on Nov. 24, agreed to share some of his tips for sexiness for the average guy.

He's Mr. Worldwide, and for one night he's officially charged with entertaining America.
Pitbull will host the American Music Awards on Nov. 24, Dick Clark Productions, which produces the show, announced Tuesday. He will be the first host of the show since 2008.
"I am truly honored to be hosting the 2013 American Music Awards," Pitbull – real name Armando Christian Perez – said in a statement. "The night is only about one thing: fun! So ... get ready. Dále!"
