RATED: In its season premiere Monday night, the two-hour edition of ABC's The Bachelor, starring Charlie O'Connell (brother of Crossing Jordan's Jerry), proved that the honeymoon is over for the dating-game franchise. The show averaged a disappointing 8.26 million viewers, according to preliminary ratings, putting it in fourth place in the 9-10 p.m. timeslot and only a slightly better third place from 10-11 p.m. In better news for its network, the new Sunday night series Grey's Anatomy, with Sandra Oh, attracted 16.2 million viewers for its premiere this week, following the return (after a five-week hiatus) of Desperate Housewives. DEFENDED: Parents Martin and Janet Sheen tell Entertainment Tonight they will not permit tabloid rumors about their son Charlie Sheen to go unanswered. "We cannot remain silent during what appears to be a ruthless and savage attack by the media on Charlie's character. To imply that he is in any way regressing to the behavior that cost him so dearly and almost ended his life just seven years ago is not only the lowest form of journalism, but sinks to the level of defamation." Sheen's wife, Denise Richards, filed for divorce last month, causing speculation over why the marriage was ending while Richards is seven months pregnant with their second child. Added the elder Sheen: "What happens between two people in a relationship or marriage is so private and deeply personal that it is not possible for anyone outside to truly understand or judge responsibly."

Within hours celebs including Victoria Gotti, Lindsay Lohan, and Ashlee Simpson were deluged with calls. More than 500 numbers and personal notes from Hilton's Sidekick II personal device hit the Web, and the thieves also reportedly accessed some revealing pictures of the Simple Life star. Hilton apologized for the incident, declaring she felt "horrible" about the invasion her friends had to endure.

YANKED: Missy Elliott's street wear collection has been pulled from stores in Denmark because its logo was a bit too similar to that of the country's monarch, Queen Margrethe II, the Associated Press reports. The shoes, bags and shirts in the collection carry a logo that consist of a crown on top of the words "Respect" and Missy Elliott's initials "M.E." The queen's logo consists of a crown on top of the letters "M-2-R," with the "R" standing for the Latin word for queen, Regina. A spokesman for the line's manufacturer, Adidas, said the company agreed to remove the clothing from Danish stores, and that the similarity was a "surprise" coincidence.
