He's keeping mum about the menu, but award-winning chef Alain Ducasse is dropping a few tantalizing hints about what he plans to prepare for the July 2 wedding of Monaco's Prince Albert and Charlene Wittstock.
"We decided to do something sustainable, local and ethical," the French chef, who lives in Monaco, tells the Associated Press. "Prince Albert is very interested in protecting the Mediterranean, its flora and fauna. It's something of an obsession."
So, when it comes to the menu, "It's going to be like the essence of the Mediterranean Sea, its tastes, its smells and its colors – fresh line-caught fish, garden vegetables and fruits for dessert," says Ducasse, 54.

Prince Albert & Charlene Wittstock Reveal Their Royal Wedding Plans
Originally posted 05/22/2011 09:00AM
Just when you thought Royal Wedding mania was waning, Monaco's Prince Albert II and his fiancée, Rhodesian-born Olympic swimmer Charlene Wittstock, are gearing up for their own royal nuptials.
Having confirmed their engagement last November, the couple, who say they'll tie the knot July 2 in an open-air ceremony in the courtyard of the Prince's Palace of Monaco, have now previewed some details of their wedding plans with German television broadcaster ZDF.
Prince Albert, 52, said they'd like to host so many family members, friends, heads of state and nobility that Saint Nicholas Cathedral – where his parents, the late Rainer III, Prince of Monaco and Grace Kelly, married in April 1956 – would be too small. The Palace courtyard accommodates some 800 guests, 300 more than could fit in the cathedral.

Prince Albert's Fiancée Converts to Catholicism
Originally posted 04/04/2011 09:30AM
In anticipation of her upcoming wedding to Monaco's Prince Albert II, Charlene Wittstock has converted to Roman Catholicism, the principality's palace announced Sunday.
This step effectively clears the last official hurdle for the couple's July 2 religious marriage ceremony. Wittstock, 33, had been raised Protestant.
"Miss Charlene Wittstock," the palace statement said, "who professes the Christian faith, has been admitted by free and personal choice into full communion with the Catholic Church."
Catholicism is the principality's official religion, and her conversion allows her to enter into a sanctioned marriage with the reigning sovereign. It also meets the constitutional requirements regarding any possible heirs.
