Look out, Carol Burnett! Cameron Diaz is piling on the sass to portray the famously hardhearted Miss Hannigan in the movie remake of Annie.
The actress, 41, Tweeted a photo of herself in costume – big hoop earrings, a heap of thick chain necklaces (one of them spells out "HBomb"), dark makeup and even darker roots.
"I want you to meet someone," Diaz writes in the caption. "Her name is Ms. Hannigan. She ain't nice and she ain't pretty. #Annie"

The new Annie officially has her nemesis.
Cameron Diaz has signed up to play the cruel orphanage headmistress Miss Hannigan in the upcoming film remake of the musical Annie, Deadline.com reports – the character memorably portrayed by Carol Burnett in the 1982 film.
Diaz will play opposite Quvenzhané Wallis, the 9-year-old Oscar nominee who is set for the role of Annie.

True to her word, when Quvenzhané Wallis hit the Oscar red carpet on Sunday, she was carrying one her of signature pooch purses.
"This is a special dog," she told Ryan Seacrest on the E! red carpet pre-show. "It's renamed after my puppy I have at home – Sandy."
The brown-and-black purse even sported some special Oscar attire of its own: a blue tulle skirt and a tiara.

Quvenzhané Wallis had a very busy Sunday.
The 9-year-old attended the Academy Awards as the youngest Best Actress nominee in Oscars history. But in case you missed it, she also landed her next big Hollywood role – as the title character in an upcoming remake of the musical Annie.
Asked on the Oscars red carpet if she can sing, Wallis was charmingly coy. "I guess," she replied from the red carpet.
For its part, Sony's Columbia Pictures, which announced the news on Sunday, believes it has its girl for the 2014 film.

We'll have wait and see who Best Actress nominee Quvenzhane Wallis will thank if she wins the Oscar on Sunday, but it's clear that she's grateful for one key person on her team: her babysitter.
"I would like to thank everyone who helped me play this part, and everyone who was there for me, and my babysitter who was on set," Wallis, 9, said as she accepted her Breakthrough Performance award at Thursday's Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Toting her signature puppy purse, Wallis wasn't sure if the accessory would also make an appearance on the red carpet at the Oscars.
