It's been exactly three years since Michael Jackson's untimely passing. But for R. Kelly, the memory of spending time with the King of Pop will last forever.
They met when Kelly wrote "You Are Not Alone" for Jackson, and the late pop star agreed to sing it. Kelly details the thrill of meeting Jackson, their collaboration on the song – and what it was like to hit the mall with the mega-star – in his upcoming memoir, Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me, on sale June 28, reprinted here with permission from SmileyBooks.

R&B singer R. Kelly and his wife of 11 years, Andrea Lee Kelly, are officially divorced, according to a statement from their lawyers Thursday.
Kelly, 42, and Andrea, 35, will have joint custody of their three children. No other details were revealed.
The announcement follows Kelly's acquittal of child pornography charges in June.
The couple weathered martial ups and downs during the six-year-long case. In 2005, Andrea, filed an emergency protective order to keep the singer away from her amid claims of physical abuse which she rescinded weeks later. The couple then filed for divorce in 2006, but were still trying to make things work.
After years of silence, Andrea told Essence magazine in 2007, "Some people in my position would probably be very broken right now, and they would probably be saying, 'Woe is me.' But I'm just not that person."

Singer R. Kelly was acquitted of child pornography charges on Friday, putting an end to a six-year ordeal for the singer/songwriter/producer, who in 2002 was accused of engaging in sex acts with an underaged girl.
The Cook County jury on the case deliberated for 7 1/2 hours before finding Kelly, 41, innocent on all 14 counts. Upon hearing the verdict, "R. Kelly looked relieved," said an onlooker.
Prosecutors had claimed that Kelly was in a graphic video that was mailed to the Chicago Sun-Times in 2002 with a girl as young as 13. Both Kelly and the alleged victim, who is now 23, denied they were the ones on the tape. Neither of them testified during the month-long trial.

EXPOSED: New York Yankees slugger Gary Sheffield revealed Tuesday that someone posing as a minister attempted to blackmail him for at least $20,000 with alleged sex tapes of the athlete's wife with another woman and R. Kelly, reports New York's Daily News and the New York Post. The alleged tape was purported to have been made more than 10 years ago. In a statement, Sheffield said that he knew his wife, a child gospel star, had had a relationship with Kelly before their marriage, and does not care to see the tape. "I will not be blackmailed (and) have my family dragged through the mud," he said. The FBI reportedly has suspect Derrick Mosley, of Chicago, in custody. His lawyer would not comment. Kelly (who has pleaded not guilty in a current child porn case) denies knowing anything about this alleged tape, his rep tells the Post.
