Rachel McAdams Looks Forward to Becoming a Mom

Playing a mother on the big screen for the first time might've given Rachel McAdams a taste for becoming a mom herself.
"Having a few [kids] would be great," McAdams told PEOPLE at the New York City premiere of The Time Traveler's Wife on Wednesday, adding that she's "looking forward to it someday."
Playing opposite Eric Bana in the romantic drama, the Canadian actress says it was a role that she very much enjoyed. "I was excited and nervous about it because I haven't done it before. It was a welcome challenge," she said. "The little girls [Hailey McCann and Tatum McCann] in this film were so fantastic. They are real sisters and they made my job really easy. So I didn't have to work too hard at that."

Will Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson be the latest bromance to hit Hollywood?
Robert Downey Jr., who plays Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic fictional character opposite Jude Law's Watson in Guy Ritchie's remake of Sherlock Holmes thinks he and Law have some sexy chemistry together.
"It's called circumstantial homosexuality," he jokingly told the press at Comic-Con Friday, after leading lady Rachel McAdams suggested the film's central love story is really between the sleuth and his sidekick.
The two actors took to each other even before Law signed on to the part. Downey was sent to meet his future costar and "sell" him on the role and "Jude walks down the hall and my assistant – who never cares about anything – is standing in the hall and she's like, 'Oh my God, there he is!' He was dressed in that kind of fabulous, super expensive, under-dressed way.

Out to prove Sherlock Holmes's "depravity knows no bounds," Robert Downey Jr. shows off his fighting form and flippant charm in the first official trailer for the Guy Ritchie-directed film.
In the supernatural thriller, Holmes fights a Satanist with the help of his partner Watson, played by Jude Law, and is outwitted and left in handcuffs by a tightly corseted Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler.
The fast-paced and fun flick will be in theaters at Christmas. Put tickets on your wish list now!

Josh Lucas Wants to Taste His Women, Not Text Them

We may be living in the age of digital dating, but Josh Lucas would much rather get to know his women on a personal level, face-to-face.
"If you don't end up sitting down and really having face time, and saying 'Hi, who are you, what are you about,' smelling their breath and seeing how they taste, it makes a huge difference," Lucas, 37, told PEOPLE at the Dentyne gum and Manhattan Theatre Club production of REALationships on Thursday.
But sorry girls, recently, the actor has been spotted around town spending some old-fashioned face time with actress Rachel McAdams, 30.

Rachel McAdams is pretty savvy when it comes to the press, but when she hung out with a bunch of journalists to research her latest role as a reporter in State of Play, the actress had to watch what she said.
"They were tricky," she said at a press day for the movie, talking about her time spent shadowing journalists at the Washington Post. "They would turn the questions around and I would have to keep saying, No, this isn't about me, this is about you!"
Prepping for the role, she and her co-stars got to see how the newspaper really works. "They took us all over and I met people who worked online," she said. "I met young people and the people who have been doing it forever. There is a difference, there's a real shift. It's interesting."

While former couple Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling made headlines this summer after a little bit of PDA in Toronto, a source tells PEOPLE the two actors are both "openly single" right now.
Gosling "is still close to McAdams's family and he still speaks to Rachel, but they are both openly single," the source says. "He still loves Rachel and Rachel still loves him, but the timing is off and they can't make each other happy right now."
The two actors are staying busy during their time apart. McAdams, 32, is currently in London filming Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. In the film, she plays Irene Adler, one of the Holmes series’ most famous female characters.

For a couple who broke up more than a year ago, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are spending an awful lot of time together.
The Canadian-born pair went to dinner Monday with a couple of friends in Toronto at Grace restaurant. Gosling, 27, and McAdams, 31, began dating shortly after wrapping the romantic 2004 film The Notebook. They split in mid-2007.
While reps are staying tight-lipped on the state of Gosling and McAdams's relationship, the couple reportedly held hands during the meal, according to a Canadian gossip Web site.

Ryan Gosling made his deejay debut Tuesday night at Green Door lounge in Hollywood, with a surprising guest in the crowd – his ex-girlfriend Rachel McAdams.
Arriving at 9 p.m., the actor settled into what is said to be a weekly gig at the lounge's Tuesday jazz night. McAdams arrived later "supporting Ryan," says a Gosling pal.
"They talked when he was away from the deejay stand," says the friend. "They really looked like good pals. He seemed happy to see her."
For Gosling, deejaying is "a pretty new thing for him," says the friend. "He's been messing around. He's really into music, and he's a fan of the night – and here he is."
