Nostalgic fans of Dorothy, Toto and witches (both good and bad) will soon get to revisit the wonderful world of Oz – this time in a new film from Disney that takes viewers back in time before the beloved wizard behind the curtain found his magical groove.
Disney released its trailer for the ambitious prequel Oz The Great and Powerful, which stars James Franco as Oscar Diggs, a small-town circus magician who is swept away in a cyclone to ... somewhere over the rainbow. Diggs thinks he's found fame and fortune in the magical kingdom until he runs into trio of witches who doubt he's the wizard they were hoping for and expecting.
Signing on as witches for the 3-D movie, directed by Sam Raimi and set for a March 8 release, are Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams, who will play Glinda, the good witch of the original classic, The Wizard of Oz.

It was one of the first comfortable summer evenings in Manhattan following a brutal heat wave.
Until Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz showed up, that is.
After the Cinema Society & Dior Beauty screening of The Whistleblower, the newlyweds made their first public appearance as a couple, heating things up with a very public rooftop smooch.
"When Daniel arrived on the roof deck, he embraced Rachel and gave her a long tender kiss on the lips – it was very romantic," a source at the James Hotel after-party tells PEOPLE.

There was nothing secret about Rachel Weisz stepping out with James Bond actor Daniel Craig over the holiday.
After her recent split from her fiancé Darren Aronofsky, Weisz and Craig spent Christmas together. Photos first published in Britain's News of the World show the couple walking hand-in-hand in the snowy countryside of Dorset in southwestern England and entering a small, Edwardian-style pub together.
In a story headlined "For Your Weisz Only," 007's Craig, 42, and Weisz, 39 – who are set to appear in Dream House together in March – are reported to have shared a cottage hideaway.

Although Rachel Weisz and Katie Holmes will both be playing Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis in two different projects, Weisz says don't expect a rivalry to develop between the two stars.
"She's a fantastic actress," Weisz, referring to Holmes, told PEOPLE at Thursday's NYDG's Rx Haiti benefit in New York. "She will be fabulous."
With the possibility of critics comparing and contrasting their performances, Weisz insists, "It's not a competition. I'm surprised more people haven't played her thus far. It seems strange there hasn't been many versions. But it's great she has the opportunity to play her as well."
