Ralph Macchio 'Not Dying' to Return to Dancing with the Stars

A year after making his moves on Dancing with the Stars, Ralph Macchio is now back on TV – this time, making pizza.
The former Karate Kid, 50, who finished fourth while on the dancing competition, will guest star on Wednesday's Happily Divorced finale, playing a New Yorker who vies for Fran Drescher's affection while he opens up a pizza parlor.
But with the announcement that DWTS is currently casting an all-star season, might Macchio be reaching for his dancing shoes once more?

Karina Smirnoff may have called off her engagement recently, but the DWTS pro is lucky to have good friends like former partner Ralph Macchio. The duo stepped out to dinner at Tao Asian Bistro in New York. The pals had a quiet meal, enjoying spicy tuna tartar, Chilean sea bass and XO shrimp and lots of laughter together without being disturbed by fellow diners. – Lesley Messer

She may have recently won the mirror-ball trophy with DWTS partner J.R. Martinez, but Karina Smirnoff is still close with her former partner Ralph Macchio. They enjoyed some quality time with his entire family (including wife and kids) at Beauty & Essex in New York. For her meal, Smirnoff ate salmon and also saved room for an array of ice cream for dessert, a source says. – Jennifer Garcia

It was a sad farewell for Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff, who were just shy of making it to the final round of Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday night.
But their elimination wasn't exactly a shocker.
"We feel like the comments from the judges last night put us in a pretty tough position – even for our fan base – to pull out of it," Macchio, 49, told PEOPLE backstage following news of his dismissal.

The final four performed under heavy pressure Monday night on Dancing with the Stars – and Tuesday they face another elimination before next week's season finale. Who will go home?
Monday featured an emotional return from Hines Ward and his partner Kym Johnson, who suffered a neck injury in an agonizing fall during rehearsals last week. But the pro dancer proved her mettle Monday night when she and Ward earned a perfect score for their tango. They also earned a perfect 30 for their second dance.
Unstoppable couple Mark Ballas and Cheslea Kane won 15 bonus points from the night's winner-take-all cha-cha, giving them the highest total of the night with a 73. Is that enough to ensure them a ticket to the finale?

Ralph Macchio isn't letting an injury bring him down.
Despite suffering from a ruptured knee cyst, Macchio, 49, is still having a good time on Dancing with the Stars.
"From the fans' perspective, from my perspective, and my relationship with Karina [Smirnoff] and my family, [this experience has] been golden," he told PEOPLE backstage after Monday night's show. "Obviously, if you don't like your partner, I don't know how you do this. But we have something special."

Will Ralph Macchio be able to perform on Dancing with the Stars Monday night?
"Have missed days of rehearsal this week," Macchio, 49, posted on his Twitter account Monday. "Had a ruptured cyst on the back of my knee causing acute pain. Hoping to be able to perform tonight!"
Macchio and partner Karina Smirnoff are one of five couples remaining in the competition. Each couple is expected to perform two routines Monday.
All season long, Macchio has dealt with the aches and pains associated with Dancing's long hours of training. This time he has Baker’s cyst, which is a buildup of fluid behind the knee.
