New friendships? Well, really more like new rivalries!
Aviva Drescher, Carole Radziwill and Heather Thomson will join the Real Housewives of New York City when the reality series returns for its fifth season (June 4, 9 p.m.) – and judging from an early preview (watch the clip below), they aren't mixing so well with veteran Housewives LuAnn de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer, who have come back for even more drama this year. (The show's season premiere will be 90-minutes to accommodate it all!)
But not all feuds are new: In a three-minute teaser for the season, Countess LuAnn calls out Ramona for blackmailing her and, later, tangles even more with Sonja and Ramona on vacation.

Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon and Cindy Barshop are out – but who are the brave new stars of The Real Housewives of New York City that will join Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and LuAnn DeLesseps in upcoming seasons of Bravo's hit show?
A source close to the show tells PEOPLE that New York City is in need of "new energy," and heard that the new cast will include a woman in the fashion business, a philanthropist with three children and a writer.
Well, a report in New York's Daily News names three women who fit that bill.
Best-selling author and former ABC News producer Carole Radziwill, whose late husband's aunt was Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, is joining the reality show, according to the report. Radziwill was friends with Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, who died alongside her husband John F. Kennedy Jr., when his plane crashed in 1999.

Just ahead of the season 2 premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Monday, the stars of The Real Housewives of New York City are opening up about the suicide of Taylor Armstrong's estranged husband, Russell.
"That made me cry," Ramona Singer told PEOPLE before heading off to spend the Labor Day weekend aboard a 150-ft. yacht in Newport, R.I., and Nantucket, Mass. "[Taylor is] lovely and it's hitting her hard. The night before the memorial service, I had dinner with [Taylor's costars] Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards and we talked about it. And they've been so supportive."

They may call Manhattan home, but with summer in full swing – and their season 4 wrapped – the ladies of the The Real Housewives of New York City are taking a break from the Big Apple ... although not a very big one.
Bravo stars LuAnn de Lesseps, Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon, Sonja Morgan and Cindy Barshop have been spotted at social and charity events all over the Hamptons, on the Eastern End of New York's Long Island.
"To be out in the Hamptons – it's business," Singer tells The New York Times. "By being seen and meeting new people, it gives you the liaisons for the fall. Then you get invited to the personal parties in the city."

"The damage is done," Jill Zarin told PEOPLE at Saturday's Bridgehampton Polo match. "I don't know if I can film with these girls."
In town to spend "low-key" time with her family, Jill spoke about her feud with costar Ramona Singer and the allegations of alcoholism among the women.

1. Sonja's Meltdown: When host Andy Cohen asked Sonja Morgan about her tough year, which included filing for bankruptcy, she broke down in tears. "The $7 million, that wasn't what really killed me," she said of money she was ordered to pay in a lawsuit against her. "What was very upsetting to me was that my marriage fell apart ... I didn't care about the trial. I didn't care about the money. I was focused on the past, my husband and what we had together."
2. Jill Insults Alex: When Andy asked Jill Zarin about criticizing Alex McCord and Ramona Singer for wearing white to a wedding, Alex fired back, saying, "It's a lot ruder to call someone a 'f–– bitch' at the wedding than it is to wear cream."
"By the way, " Jill said in response, "you are an effing
bitch."

The drama never ends.
On the red carpet for the premiere of Bad Teacher on Monday, The Real Housewives of New York City's Jill Zarin revealed a new chapter in her ongoing feud with costar Ramona Singer.
"Ramona who?" Jill told PEOPLE when asked if she and Ramona had resolved their issues since their trip to Morocco. "Yeah, it's ugly."
It turns out that Jill now blames Ramona's husband Mario Singer for their latest spat.

The pop star took sons Preston and Jayden to visit the Tommy Hilfiger Prep World Pop Up House store at The Grove in West Hollywood for a day of shopping. Joining them: Spears's dad, Jamie, and her assistant. Britney spent more than an hour browsing and trying out clothes (including a blue seersucker blazer and high-heeled navy boat shoes) while her boys sat in chairs, laughing and playing games.
