Renée Zellweger: George Clooney's 'A Good Man'
Originally posted 04/01/2008 09:00AM
Renée Zellweger and George Clooney have been pals for a long time – long enough, it seems, that even wise-cracking about their personal lives comes easy.
In a new interview with the U.K. edition of Marie Claire, the pair – who costar together in the new movie Leatherheads – have a good laugh about their views on marriage.
"We've both been very successful at it," Clooney joked. (He's divorced, and Zellweger annulled her marriage to Kenny Chesney after four months).

Renée Zellweger Says She's 'Living the Dream'
Originally posted 03/20/2008 09:00AM
Working with longtime pal George Clooney in the 1920s football comedy Leatherheads – which Clooney also directed – was a "no-brainer" for Renée Zellweger.
"I heard George was making a movie and I said, 'When?' If he had asked me to make peanut-butter sandwiches for the catering, I would have said, 'Crunchy or smooth?'" the 39-year-old actress says in the April issue of InStyle of the film, which also stars The Office cutie John Krasinski. "It's never less than great with him. And poor me, I had to watch guys throw a football all day ... Talk about living the dream."

Renée Zellweger: The Gym Keeps Me Sane
Originally posted 12/07/2007 09:15AM
Renée Zellweger had crowds buzzing at the London premiere of the animated Bee Movie, where she chatted about her fitness regime.
"I have a lifestyle," she told reporters Thursday night. "It involves keeping my sanity by going to the gym."
Zellweger, 38, cut a slim figure on the red carpet, but said she doesn't miss her Bridget Jones look. "I don't think my curves are absent," she said with a laugh. "I think I'm doing alright, thank you very much."
The Oscar-winning actress also talked about shooting the upcoming movie Leatherheads, which costars George Clooney.
In fact, she was full of praise for her longtime pal, who also wrote and directed the film. "He'd run the length of the field all day long with the 20-year-olds, then put on his director hat and he'd go edit," she said. "It was non-stop. He loved this movie."

For Renée Zellweger, peace and quiet are golden.
"I'm not a big scene girl," the Cold Mountain Oscar winner, 38, tells Harper's Bazaar for its December issue. "If I see the scene once a year, that's more than plenty."
A perfect night for Texas-born Zellweger? Staying in and watching CNN, apparently. Newscaster "Anderson Cooper would probably be involved at some juncture," she says.

Get George Clooney and Renée Zellweger in a room together and the pair riff off each other like a practiced comedy duo.
Asked by W magazine recently how long they've known each other, Zellweger, who stars with Clooney in next year's Leatherheads, cracks, "Oh, God. Twenty-five, 30 years."
"Thirty-five years," Clooney, who also directs the movie, adds.
"We've been married 28," Zellweger continues. Then, like a real old married couple, Clooney corrects her, saying, "Twenty-seven. We lived together the first year. It was a lot of fighting."

Renée Zellweger, who fled Los Angeles because of the paparazzi, says she sees how celebrities such as Britney Spears can buckle under the pressure.
"What people don't understand is that [the photographers] didn't just run into Britney that day," she tells Extra. "It's like having someone jump on your back in the morning and stay with you until you go to bed at night. And even then, hovering over your pillow and taking photographs. ... I defy anyone to try to keep it all together all the time under those circumstances."
