He's always been a little out of this world.
But soon, Justin Bieber – and his manager, Scooter Braun – will physically leave terra firma and head to space on a suborbital flight with Virgin Galactic, according to Virgin founder Richard Branson.
"Great to hear @justinbieber & @scooterbraun are latest @virgingalactic future astronauts. Congrats, see you up there!" Branson wrote Wednesday on Twitter – a message that Bieber then re-Tweeted to his 40 million followers.
The pop star, 19, who has had his share of troubles on Earth of late, has often dreamed of going to space. He has even said he'd like to do a concert there, an idea to which NASA seemed amenable.

Kate Winslet has tied the knot with Richard Branson's nephew, Ned Rocknroll, her rep tells PEOPLE.
"I can confirm that Kate Winslet married Ned Rock'nRoll in NY earlier this month in a private ceremony attended by her two children and a very few friends and family," the rep says. "The couple had been engaged since the summer."
According to British media reports, Leonardo DiCaprio gave away the bride in a ceremony so secret that the bride and groom's parents didn't know about it.

When Kate Winslet was abruptly awakened in Richard Branson's Caribbean home to screams of "fire!", she admits she didn't react entirely predictably.
"It was genuinely very scary. We woke up at 4:30 in the morning to yelling that there was a fire," she told the host of The Graham Norton Show, which airs on BBC America on Oct. 29 at 10 p.m.
"I jumped up and ran immediately towards the fire but then realized we might die so turned around, told my children to go in and shut the door and then thought, 'Now what do I do?' "
