Talk about a sticky situation.

Celebrating the U.S. premiere of her sci-fi film Battleship at its after-party Thursday night, Rihanna passed on a plate of two hot dogs, macaroni and cheese and corn on the cob for a decidedly less filling dinner: a stick of chewing gum.

Following the screening at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live (to which she arrived about 20 minutes late) the singer-actress, 24, kept it low-key, sitting at a table with her family, including her brother Rajad. Enjoying a lime cocktail, she also hung with actress Malin Akerman and posed for photos with fans and military guests before leaving at about 11:30 p.m.

Also celebrating: costars Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker (and husband Andy Roddick) and Liam Neeson.

Brooklyn Decker may be happily married to Andy Roddick but, according to the model, it's probably best for the two to keep their professional lives separate.

"He tried to give me a lesson once, and I ended up hitting all the tennis balls over the fence and smashing my racket because I was so frustrated," Decker, 24, tells Women's Health in its May issue.

"I told him, 'You don't teach me how to play tennis and I won't teach you how to model in a bathing suit.' "

"And," she continues, "so far it's worked."

Rihanna Says Fallout from Chris Brown Attack Was 'My Liberation'

It's the old adage: what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Rihanna learned it the hard way – at the ripe old age of 20.

"It gave me guns," the pop star, now 24, says of being beat up in 2009 by Chris Brown in the May issue of Elle. "I was like, well, f––. They know more about me than I want them to know. It's embarrassing. But that was my opening. That was my liberation."

The strain of trying to keep her personal troubles private was itself a form of imprisonment, she adds.

Rihanna: Getting Naked Helped Boost My Confidence

Originally posted 03/25/2012 08:30AM

Rihanna may have told PEOPLE last month that she'd feel better about her slimmed-down figure if she had her butt back, but that hasn't stopped the Barbadian beauty from stripping down with ease.

In fact, the act of baring it all is what helped her gain confidence in the first place.

"The more I got naked, the more comfortable I felt," Rihanna, 24, tells Britain's Women's Fitness magazine. "I just had to face my fear. You always find something wrong, you always find something you’re uncomfortable with, and one thing turns into another and you get embarrassed and self-conscious about it."

Rihanna: I Want My Butt Back!

Originally posted 03/16/2012 10:10AM

Rihanna's sexy see-through tops may be what's making headlines, but she's focused on an area a bit further south.

"I'm working on getting [my butt] back," she tells PEOPLE. "It used to be my favorite body part, but now it's disappeared!"

Luckily, the singer's got plenty of techniques in mind for the task.

"I'm going to have to start hiking or at least going on the elliptical or walking on an incremental treadmill or horseback riding," she says. "Something that firms the butt."
