While presenting Robert Redford with the prestigious Chaplin Award on Monday night at Lincoln Center, his onetime costar Barbra Streisand brushed a lock of his blond hair from his forehead, just as she did in their 1973 movie The Way We Were – leaving the audience cheering and teary-eyed.

If there's one film to see this year, it's 12 Years a Slave, a wrenching but rewarding historical epic.

Lois Smith, a much-admired veteran movie publicist and the mother of Grey's Anatomy actress Brooke Smith, died Sunday afternoon after suffering a brain hemorrhage due to an accidental fall, Deadline reports. She was 84.
The New York-based industry trailblazer was in Maine, where her husband, Eugene Smith, was set to be recognized for his philanthropic work. Smith fell down the stairs late Saturday night at the bed-and-breakfast where they were staying.
A maternal figure to both stars and journalists who tended to adore her in equal doses, Smith, along with Pat Kingsley and Patricia Newcomb, helped establish the publicity firm of PMK (initially known as Pickwick, it merged with Maslansky/Koenigsberg) as an A-list leader. As a publicist, Smith was as involved in shaping images as she was in promoting specific movies, and always with a personal touch.
Among her clients were Robert Redford (their professional marriage went back to the late '60s, when his star was launched with Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid), as well as Marilyn Monroe, Martin Scorsese, Meryl Streep, Susan Sarandon and Whitney Houston.

He may be in Vancouver filming his new movie, The Company You Keep, but Shia LaBeouf had a welcome on-set visitor: girlfriend Karolyn Pho. She was casually dressed and chatty with crewmembers as she watched her beau film his scene, even listening to his dialogue in headphones. Later, director Robert Redford came over to introduce himself, shaking her hand. Shia also managed to escape the set for a bit, grabbing a beverage with his girlfriend at a coffee shop nearby, before strolling back to set arm in arm. – Christine Kilpatrick

Robert Redford is about as ruggedly American as actors get. But his German-born second wife is giving him a whole new perspective.
"She's a very special person," Redford, 74, says of his artist wife of two years, Sibylle Szaggars, in the March/April issue of AARP The Magazine. "She's younger than I am [in her early 50s], and European, which I like, so that's a whole new life."
If new love is helping Redford stay young, so is his renowned love of the outdoors, which is hardly diminished as he navigates his eighth decade.

Robert Redford married artist Sibylle Szaggars on Saturday evening at the luxury Louis C. Jacob Hotel in Hamburg, Germany, in front of 30 family and friends, it has been confirmed.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Pastor Frank Engelbrecht of Hamburg's St. Catherine Church, said the couple "wanted a very intimate ceremony."
Engelbrecht, who was contacted in the past month to officiate, was selected because of the bride's family's affiliation with his parish, though she has been living in the U.S. for the last 14 years, he said.
Local news reports say the bride wore champagne colored gown, the groom a white suit. Redford, 71, was previously married to Lola Redford from 1958 until their 1985 divorce. They have three surviving children. Szaggars, 51, is an abstract painter whose work has been exhibited internationally.
