The bride wore white. The groom wore a baseball cap.

On Sunday, country star Rodney Atkins, 44, married singer-songwriter Rose Falcon on the beach of Captiva Island, Fla.

The couple exchanged vows in front of 20 guests. Atkins's son Elijah was the best man. The wedding was officiated by Charles Hutchins, the founder of the children's home where Atkins spent his infancy before being adopted by Allen and Margaret Atkins.

The ceremony was the end of a family weekend on Captiva, an island in southwest Florida. The day before the wedding, the couple's friends and family went fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.

Rodney Atkins Files for Divorce Following Wife's Assault Charges

Rodney Atkins has filed for divorce from Tammy Jo Atkins after claiming that his wife made false domestic violence charges against him.

According to court documents filed in Williamson County, Tenn., Tammy called police on Nov. 21, alleging that a fight with her husband turned violent when he tried to smother her with a pillow. She also claims Rodney grabbed her by the face and threw her down a hallway in front of their 10-year-old son Elijah.

The country artist was arrested and later released on $2,500 bail.

Rodney denies the charges – and has subsequently filed for divorce.
