Rosa Parks Remembered in Nation's Capital

President Bush, members of Congress and members of the American public paid tribute to Rosa Parks under the soaring dome of the Capitol Rotunda on Sunday, honoring the woman whose defiant act on a Montgomery, Ala., bus inspired the civil rights movement half a century ago.

Bush: 'The Nation Thanks Rosa Parks'

Praising civil rights icon Rosa Parks as "one of the most inspiring women of the 20th century," President Bush said in a speech to military spouses on Tuesday that her "example helped touch off the civil rights movement, and transformed America for the better. She will always have a special place in American history, and our nation thinks of Rosa Parks and her loved ones today."

Civil Rights Pioneer Rosa Parks Dies

Rosa Parks, the woman who refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery, Ala., city bus to a white man and thereby launched the modern civil rights movement, died at her home in Detroit Monday night. She was 92.

Britney's Due Date Announced – for TV Show

SCHEDULED: With this week's news that their star is expecting a baby, UPN has set a May 17 premiere date for Britney Spears and husband Kevin Federline's still-untitled reality show, with the first episode going to a full hour. The network also said it will shoot new footage to go with the existing footage that the couple shot themselves. "As we all know, Britney and Kevin's life together has been played out in front of the public through Internet speculation, the gossip columnists and entertainment magazines," Dawn Ostroff, president of UPN, said in a statement. "But now, for the first time, their millions of fans will get to see and hear the couple's real story ... as told directly by them. "
