A recent divorce from Russell Brand hasn't caused Katy Perry to give up on love.
The "Teenage Dream" singer, 27, who is currently dating Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd, tells the September Elle that she is "a woman who likes to be courted – strongly."
When it comes to giving marriage another go, she says simply, "Never say never ... I'll let love take the lead on that."

With a new movie out and a new album in the works, Katy Perry is juggling a lot. But there's one thing she definitely won't be making time for: a serious boyfriend.
"For me, right now, I'm totally not looking," says Perry, 27, in an interview with USA Today. "I'm just looking to heal. And I'm on that path. I'm not down on love."
Perry, who recently finalized her divorce from Russell Brand, also skirts questions about her relationship with Florence and the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd.
"That's not even appropriate to label," she says. "There are times I go out and meet people and flirt, but it's not really appropriate to have anything serious."

When putting together her new concert documentary Part of Me, Katy Perry revisited several memories from the past year – and not all of them were pleasant.
In the film, Perry opens up about her split from Russell Brand at the end of last year.
"It's not always very fun [watching the footage]," Perry, 27, told reporters at the Los Angeles premiere of the movie. "It's not like going out with your friends and having a drink and having a great time, but it's important to show that real people sometimes have to go through things in order to achieve things. Nothing great comes easily."
After a whirlwind few months in both her personal and professional life, Perry said she's ready for a break.

It's been almost six months since Russell Brand filed for divorce from Katy Perry and the pop star has largely been quiet on why things didn't work out.
In her new movie Part of Me, Perry, 27, pulls back the curtain to discuss why her marriage with Brand, 37, fell apart.
The biggest strain on their relationship, she reveals, was her busy touring schedule. As scenes in the movie show, Perry used days off from her grueling world tour to take side trips to see Brand. Yet the time apart still took its toll.

There was quite the bromance brewing between Russell Brand and Alec Baldwin during the filming of Rock of Ages.
Brand, 36, who had nothing but wonderful things to say about the 30 Rock star, 54, even gushed – presumably jokingly – about smooching his pal in the movie.
"I get to kiss Alec Baldwin," Sunday's MTV Movie Awards host told reporters on Thursday. "He is [a good kisser]."

Is Katy Perry trying to send a message to Russell Brand?
The singer, whose divorce from Brand is supposed to be finalized next month, is set to sing a revealing breakup song, "Wide Awake" off her latest album, this Sunday at The Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, PEOPLE has learned.
"It's obviously about Russell," a source said, though Perry has not publicly confirmed it.
The song speaks about being blinded by love, including the lyrics, "I wish I knew then what I know now – wouldn't dive in, wouldn't bow down."

Who's the intense-looking dude in the shades, wide-brimmed hat and shaggy coat with the amazing abs peeking out? None other than Tom Cruise leading an all-star cast in the poster for the upcoming Rock of Ages based on the Broadway show and opening in movie theaters June 15.
Against a soundtrack that includes Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister and Poison, Cruise stars as an aging rocker alongside Julianne Hough, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Malin Akerman, Mary J. Blige, Bryan Cranston and soon-to-be groom Alec Baldwin.

Timothy Olyphant seems to prefer pigskins to bowling balls. The Justified star was overheard talking about football at the FX Upfront party at Lucky Strike in N.Y.C. Thursday – when he was supposed to be joining his castmates at their lane. The event featured talent from seven series on the network (most of whom wore matching bowling shirts with their show names for a star-studded tournament).
One FX star who didn't don the uniform? Charlie Sheen, who talked about his show Anger Management with reporters and mingled amiably in a corner. Elsewhere, Archer's Judy Greer chatted with pals by her show's lane, and Louis CK made the social rounds as well.
Guests sipped cocktails from two open bars and nibbled on passed hors d'oeuvres like mac and cheese bites early, followed by warm chocolate chip cookies after 10 p.m. – right around the time that Russell Brand popped in to promote his new late night show, Strangely Uplifting. (No sign of the Brit in bowling shoes, however!) – Rennie Dyball

Russell Brand is returning to his roots: bachelorhood and standup comedy.
"I'm doing well," Brand, whose marriage to Katy Perry ended in December, after 14 months, tells PEOPLE.
Waxing philosophical about life, the British comedian, 36, suggests there was no reason he shouldn't be well. "You don't need to brush it off if you don’t get it on you in the first place," he says, not specifically defining what "it" is.
But, he insists, "I don't have to let anything go. I don't hold on to anything negative. It's the same as zero-ness."
