Sienna Miller to Star in New Twist on Robin Hood

Get out the tights: Sienna Miller is set to play Maid Marian alongside Russell Crowe's Sheriff of Nottingham in an upcoming, revisionist view of Robin Hood, to be directed by Crowe's Gladiator collaborator Ridley Scott, the actress has confirmed.
"I just found out," Miller, 26, tells the BBC. "It's the most exciting news in the world."
This isn't any old Robin romp: This time in Sherwood Forrest, the usually villainous sheriff is due to be portrayed as heroic, while Robin – traditionally known for nobly stealing from the rich to give to the poor – is not.

The studio spent the holiday weekend trying to convince Crowe, 43, to take the role of a journalist who spearheads a murder investigation involving a politician, according to Variety.

"I love going shopping," the American Gangster star, 43, tells Men's Journal for its new issue, which went on sale Tuesday. "I have a black belt in it. My wife [Danielle] really appreciates that in me. Whatever you need, mate, I'll get it."
As for his technique once he hits the store, Crowe claims, "I can do the supermarket in six minutes. I can pick out the first nine things my wife would like to try on. I'm not bragging; it's fact. I have retail-therapy issues. But I am cool with that. I shop with a big smile on my face."
