Ryan Lochte Keeps the Party Going in Sin City

Originally posted 08/21/2012 06:00AM

There wasn't a dull moment over the weekend for Ryan Lochte.

Lochte, who has been partying in Sin City since Thursday, was sure to cover all of his bases.

On Sunday, the athlete enjoyed an extended birthday dinner at Bacio Italian restaurant inside the Tropicana Las Vegas with a large group of guys, including fellow Team USA swimmers Cullen Jones and Conor Dwyer.

"Ryan sat on the outside of the restaurant, where women walking by went crazy over him, screaming and waving," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "They were snapping photos."

Lochte – who munched on salad, pasta, sea bass and salmon – was brought a special Olympic-themed cake at the end of the meal, which he Tweeted about, that even included his signature term, "Jeah." (Lochte turned 28 on August 3.)

There's apparently no such thing as rest for Ryan Lochte.

Following a successful Olympic run, the professional swimmer – who just landed a cameo on 90210 – is continuing to make his celebratory rounds.

Lochte began Thursday night with an appearance at the WWE SummerSlam VIP Kickoff party at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where David Beckham was also in tow.

Looking dapper, a source tells PEOPLE that Lochte "had every female on the carpet clamoring for his attention. He was a really sweet guy and more gorgeous in person." But unfortunately for the athlete, he didn't get a chance to meet his admitted "celeb crush" Carmen Electra, the source says, because he had to catch a plane to Las Vegas.

Going along with Ryan Lochte's expected big move to Los Angeles, he'll be featured on the show named after the city's most prominent zip code.

The five-time Olympic gold medalist, 28, will play himself on an episode of the CW's teen drama 90210 on Oct. 29, the network announced Tuesday.

This will be a step in a different direction from what was expected by the professional athlete, who has expressed interest in doing reality TV such as Dancing with the Stars.

Can you blame him?

After working hard and then winning five medals in Londonincluding individual gold – Ryan Lochte, who just turned 28, has a lot to celebrate.

And so he did, hitting up London hot spots on multiple nights and making plenty of female friends along the way.

Following a rowdy Sunday night romp at Chinawhite nightclub, Lochte went out on two more excursions: a Tuesday night sojourn to Planet Hollywood to celebrate his 28th birthday, and another late-night clubbing session at the Rose Club on Thursday.

And he wasn't alone. The newly-minted sex symbol seemed to enjoy the attention of adoring women as he exited the clubs in the wee hours.

From competing for Olympic gold to competing for the mirror-ball trophy!

As the London Games come to a close, the next question on everyone's mind is which Olympian will trade training for the tango and compete on Dancing with the Stars. Michael Phelps seems to be toying with the idea.

"I haven't really been known for my dancing," Phelps told PEOPLE at Omega House in London on Tuesday. "I know everybody who's done it, they've enjoyed it and had a blast. I won't say I'm ruling anything out."

For the second time this Olympics, Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte were neck-and-neck Thursday in London – in their final event together of the Summer Games.

This time, however, Phelps emerged the winner!

After losing to Lochte in the 400 individual medley last Saturday, Phelps, 27, managed to out-swim his friend and teammate in Thursday's 200-meter individual medley by .63 seconds.

After becoming the most-decorated Olympian earlier this week, Phelps met another goal: his victory makes him the first male swimmer to win an individual event at three consecutive Games.

With winning routines set to hits by Lady Gaga, the sparkle-loving athlete also recently married and now will blog for PEOPLE.com with the same fun energy he brings to the ice.

The Olympic Games in London have not disappointed thus far. The Opening Ceremonies were glamorous, the swimming drama has been outrageous and the gymnastics is forcing me to do my "stick it" pose every time I get out of my car.
