Apolo Ohno Blogs: I'm Confident We Can Make It to the DWTS Finals
Originally posted 11/05/2012 07:55AM
Apolo Ohno is a former Dancing with the Stars champion, winning the coveted mirror-ball trophy in season 4 with Julianne Hough. The ice-skating Olympian will now be blogging for PEOPLE.com about competing with Karina Smirnoff in the all-star season.
I was nervous during Tuesday's elimination. I'm standing there next to Sabrina [Bryan], thinking about how she also had a perfect score and she's the overall highest scorer. She's just been so incredible. You never know who is going to go home.
When Sabrina was eliminated, it was tough. No one really knows what to say, and especially to someone who is such an incredible dancer. You never want to see anybody go home.

Sabrina Bryan Calls Dancing with the Stars Elimination a 'Stinger'
Originally posted 10/31/2012 04:00PM
Getting eliminated on Tuesday night's Dancing with the Stars during this particular week was all too familiar for Sabrina Bryan.
The former Cheetah Girl, 28, was sent home this same week when she competed during season 5 with Mark Ballas. The current dismissal came on the heels of scoring a perfect 30 for her routine the previous night.
"It just felt all too surreal," she told PEOPLE backstage after learning her fate. "It just felt like a flashback. I want to forget about that whole experience. Louis [Van Amstel] wanted to talk about it all week, but I just didn't want to. It didn't matter to me. It felt like the past is the past. We're here in the present."

Dancing with the Stars: Who Got the Love on Country Night?
Originally posted 10/29/2012 10:10PM
With performances by Little Big Town and Big & Rich, not to mention yards of denim and scores of cowboy hats, everybody was keeping it country on Dancing with the Stars on Monday night.
There was even a large fake cow on stage with a mirror ball hanging from its neck.
And for two couples, the range really did feel like home, with the judges handing out perfect scores twice during an emotional evening that left many competitors – and one judge – in tears.

Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough Take Criticism for Rumba

Nobody's routine on Tuesday's Dancing with the Stars caused any judges to fall out of their chair this time, but there was certainly no lack of emotion during the second round of guilty pleasure night critiques.
The evening began with a tango from Tony Dovolani and his partner Melissa Rycroft, who was recovering from a herniated disk neck injury.
The pair, who danced to "Toxic," by Britney Spears, was given a 27 for their performance, which judge Bruno Tonioli called "intoxicating" and Len Goodman called "crisp" and "sharp."

Mark Ballas: Bristol Palin Wouldn't 'Step Out of the Box' on DWTS
Originally posted 10/17/2012 07:30AM
One night after Bristol Palin convinced partner Mark Ballas to forgo matching bunny costumes on Monday's Dancing with the Stars, the pair was eliminated.
Ballas, 26 – who after his dismissal told reporters backstage that he was "dead serious" about dressing up as an animal pair – doesn't regret Palin's decision to play it safe, but he also points out that taking a risk with what to wear could have possibly prolonged their time in the competition.
"Hey, you can guide a horse to water, but you can't make it drink," he says.

Gilles Marini & Shawn Johnson Earn Perfect 10s on Dancing with the Stars
Originally posted 10/15/2012 10:10PM
With last week's double-elimination behind them, the remaining nine couples on Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars were forced to perform a dance selected for them by one of their competitors.
And they had a famous face on board to assess them this week.
Paula Abdul joined the judges panel alongside Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba for the night. Naturally, she brought her characteristic good cheer to the ABC show – and she notably awarded one of the season's first perfect 10s to Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd for their Bollywood-themed routine.
The couple also received 10s from Bruno and Carrie Ann, who told them, "Aladdin has nothing on you, Gilles Marini." Only Len was a holdout, though he gave the pair an impressive 9.5.

Bristol Palin & Mark Ballas's DWTS Fight 'Swept Under the Rug'
Originally posted 10/09/2012 08:45AM
There are apparently no hard feelings between Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas.
The pair, who appeared all smiles and landed their highest score of the season on Monday night's Dancing with the Stars, have patched up their differences, following a recent rehearsal fight that left Palin, 21, in tears.
"We're fine," Ballas, 26, told reporters backstage after the show. "We've danced together before. This isn't our first season together. The last season we did together, we didn't argue once – nothing, we were just chill. So the fact that we've made it through a season and a quarter and this is now our first fight is amazing."

When Shawn Johnson announced her retirement from gymnastics over the summer, it was bittersweet for the gold medalist – and all of her fans who were hoping to cheer her on at the 2012 Olympic Games.
But the 20-year-old reclaimed some of that glory Monday night as she returned to the ballroom for the all-stars season of Dancing with the Stars.
Judge Carrie Ann Inaba easily summarized the former champ's 22-point foxtrot to Owl City's "Good Time" with pro Derek Hough: "This is what all-star season is all about!"
