Salma Hayek's Engagement Called Off

Salma Hayek and her French billionaire fiancé, Francois-Henri Pinault, have called off their 16-month engagement, Hayek's rep tells USA Today.
The couple, who welcomed their first daughter, Valentina Paloma, last September, met in Venice in May 2006 and announced their engagement in March of 2007.
"We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault has been canceled," Hayek's rep said in a statement. "There will be no further comment."

Costar Finds Salma Hayek's Baby 'Outgoing, Colorful'

From one kid to another, Salma Hayek's daughter, Valentina, is pretty cool.
"[She's] outgoing, just colorful," actor Josh Hutcherson, 15, told PEOPLE at Sunday's L.A. premiere of Journey to the Center of the Earth. Hutcherson costars with Hayek in the upcoming film Cirque du Freak. "She's just really great."
"I got to hang out with the baby some," Hutcherson says. "She was always very caring to her child, Valentina."

Salma Hayek Gets Help Breaking Open the Bubbly

The day after celebrating her first Mother's Day, new mom Salma Hayek became a godmother to a new racing sailboat christened "Il Mostro," or "the Monster."
Hayek, looking fit and gorgeous in a shapely herringbone suit, silver blouse and knee-high beige boots, attempted to break a bottle of champagne over the bow of the massive sailboat, moored in the harbor outside Boston's Institute of Contemporary Art Monday night. (The boat is sponsored by Puma, which is partially owned by Hayek's fiancé, Francois-Henri Pinault.)
It only took the petite actress five tries – and a little muscle from a nearby sailor – to crack the bottle.

Salma Hayek: 'I Was Born to Have This Girl'

In a new interview, Salma Hayek confesses she suffered from diabetes during her pregnancy and that she was hoping for a son – but now she's loving being a mom to her five-month-old daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault.
"I feel I was born to have this girl," she tells the April issue of Glamour magazine.
Pregnancy for the 41-year-old, first-time mom was a humbling experience. "I had diabetes while I was pregnant. I became huge. And I said, 'This is what it takes for me to have this baby, and I really want it.' Then you don't know if it's going to be healthy; you are completely out of control," she says. "So the experience really makes you humble."

Salma Hayek had a few brief words for Jennifer Lopez on the red carpet of Thursday night's de Grisogono Hollywood Domino game launch at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Asked by reporters if she had any words of wisdom for Lopez, who earlier in the night gave birth to twins, Hayek replied, "I'm sure she'll be a wonderful mom."
