Samantha Ronson Will Be Spinning on Emmy Night

PEOPLE and Entertainment Tonight are teaming up again this year to host an after-party on TV's biggest night: the Emmy telecast on Sept. 20. This year's event, at Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles, will feature food from celebrity chef Susan Feniger of the restaurant Street, Samantha Ronson on the turntables, a special musical guest and Cole Haan goodie bags stuffed with high-end products and gift certificates.
Linda Bell Blue, executive producer for ET and The Insider, says she’s excited about the event space and the food that will be on offer. "We are really looking to host this year’s party at a venue that's exciting and untapped for most people in the TV business," she says. – Xiomara Martinez-White

(Earlier, the two took in the "American Idols Live!" tour stop at the Staples Center.) Lohan left a table of her own friends to join her deejay ex, who had asked for Lohan by name when she arrived. The actress was openly affectionate as she spent the night leaning into Ronson and hanging on her every word. Meanwhile, Ronson was more restrained but still sweet.

• Lindsay Lohan had a special companion during a daylong 23rd birthday celebration: ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson! The two sat on the patio at Malibu's Tra di Noi and chatted as they waited for their takeout order – a margarita pizza, salad and pasta dishes – to arrive. "Lindsay looked very happy," the restaurant's owner, Tarcisio Mosconi, tells us. "[She] seemed relaxed and like she was enjoying her birthday." Later, the actress stopped by the Andy Lecompte Salon in West Hollywood for a wash and blow-dry, before Ronson picked her up for dinner with friends at Cecconi's. The group ate on the patio underneath a huge bouquet of festive balloons, before continuing the evening at Villa Lounge.

If anything can be read into a winking emoticon, Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson may be a couple again – at least in Lohan's view.
"Leaving London but with my favorite favorite!!!" Lohan, 22, wrote on her Twitter page Monday as she and Ronson were photographed at a London airport terminal together awaiting a flight to Los Angeles.
Further fueling speculation, Lohan adds: "Great news to share!! Maybe .... ;)"

Linday Lohan's wraith-like appearance this week while shopping with her sister, Ali, in Los Angeles has shocked even some of her closest friends, sources tell PEOPLE.
"She is a self-destructive person," says a source close to Lohan. "It's all part of her cry for attention. She wants Sam [Ronson, her ex-girlfriend] to see how bad she's hurting and she wants Hollywood to see her as a 'tortured artist' who is wasting away … This is a symptom of something much bigger – a desperate need to be noticed."
The cry for help appears to be working, at least to an extent. Lohan has spoken publicly about her recent breakup, telling Ellen DeGeneres on her show April 23 that the split "came out of nowhere." And yet the pair continue to spend time together.
On Thursday, Lohan visited Ronson at her Los Angeles home for about six hours. According to a source, "Lindsay had her assistant drive her to Sam's house around 1 p.m." When Lohan left six hours later, the source says, she looked "very happy."

What's more difficult than enduring a painful breakup in the public eye?
"When you don't know you're breaking up," says Lindsay Lohan. "Really weird."
The 22-year-old actress shared her ordeal with somebody who knows all about a high-profile breakup: Ellen DeGeneres, whose split with Anne Heche in 2000 dominated celebrity news.
In an Ellen DeGeneres show airing Thursday, Lohan tells the talk show host that the breakup with Samantha Ronson, 31, earlier this month "came out of nowhere."
"I had no idea what was going on. I just hadn't seen her in, like, a week. She, like, disappeared," Lohan says.

Don't worry about Samantha Ronson.
The celebrity deejay, who recently split with longtime girlfriend Lindsay Lohan, is just fine, her mother, Ann Dexter Jones, told PEOPLE Wednesday at Thompson LES, where she was celebrating Charlotte Ronson and Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss's Made With Love swimsuit line at a party hosted by Lucky magazine.
"She's doing great," Dexter Jones, told PEOPLE when asked how Ronson is faring after her high-profile breakup. "She's really, really well."
For now, Ronson is keeping herself busy, said her mom, who will soon debut her line of high-end jewelry in London and Los Angeles. "She's always working. But I don't pry," said Dexter Jones. "I'm giving her her space. She's strong and smart and with a great heart."

Friend: Lindsay and Sam Are Still Talking

A week after Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson's dramatic split, a friend of Lohan's says the star is "heartbroken."
"Sam and Lindsay are speaking," the source tells PEOPLE. "But Sam has begged Lindsay to get help."
"Lindsay, despite appearances, is insecure and has relied on Samantha and their relationship to build her up," explains the pal. "Lindsay barely sleeps, which explains a lot of her behavior. She's exhausted. She can't even sit down for a minute without pacing around the room. It's really sad."
Since Ronson broke up with her last week in Los Angeles, Lohan has kept busy: Thursday night, she was spotted at the Chateau Marmont before meeting up with friends at Bar Delux, where a fellow club-goer reported, "her mood was frantic. She looked worn out, and really skinny." A source also tells PEOPLE that "Lindsay continued partying after Delux that night." Friday night Lohan laid low while Ronson deejayed a party in San Francisco.
