Sara Rue Gets Ready to Wed in May

Sure, it's been nearly 18 months since she and teacher Kevin Price got engaged, but that didn't prevent actress, Jenny Craig spokesperson and upcoming Shedding for the Wedding host Sara Rue from formally celebrating with friends and family at L.A.'s Soho House last Saturday night.

"We set a date at end of May and my manager, who's been my manager since I was 12 and is kind of like my L.A. Dad, wanted to have an official engagement party to sort of kick things off," Rue, 32, tells PEOPLE. "All our close friends and some family came. It was perfect."

Equally perfect, Rue says, is the Amsale wedding gown she picked out the day before the engagement party.

Sara Rue Has Finally Hired a Wedding Planner

Jenny Craig spokeswoman and Shedding for the Wedding host Sara Rue is finally kicking her wedding planning into high gear.

"It's going really well all of a sudden," Rue, 31, told PEOPLE at the Audi and J Mendel Golden Globes Week kick-off bash. "We actually just hired a wedding planner, which we have been saying we were going to do for a year – and we actually did it."

The newly trim TV star, whose show premieres Feb. 23, has been engaged to her fiancé, teacher Kevin Price, since August 2009 but has just partnered with the "amazing" Rachel Hollis, a wedding planner for Chic Events.

Actress Sara Rue Files for Divorce

Actress Sara Rue of TV's Less than Perfect has filed for divorce from her husband of more than four years, Mischa Livingstone.

The pair, who were married in 2001, initially separated in May 2006. Rue is citing the usual irreconcilable differences, according to the papers filed Sept. 21 in Los Angeles Superior Court.

They have no children. Rue, 29, has most recently appeared in guest spots on Two and a Half Men.
