90210 Stars Reunite at Santa's Workshop in L.A.

Santa Claus is coming to town and Malin Akerman, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Tori Spelling, Dean McDermott, Tiffani Thiessen and Ian Ziering were on hand to welcome him at the Second Annual Santa's Secret Workshop at the Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood.

Akerman was "eager to learn as much from the sponsors as possible about the best baby products on the market," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "She even brought a notebook!"

Gellar brought her daughter Charlotte for some quality time, which they spent making crafts and posing for photos with Santa at the event, which was presented by Bill Horn and Scout Masterson.

Spelling and McDermott made their first public appearance with all four children – Liam, Stella, Hattie and newborn Finn – but it was more like a reunion for the cast of the original 90210 with Spelling, Thiessen and Ziering all in attendance.

"Tiffani's daughter Harper saw Ian and ran over to him before sitting down to decorate a holiday photo frame at one of the craft tables," says another guest at the event, which benefitted L.A. Family Housing.

Ziering's daughter, Mia, also got hands-on at the crafts table. "Ian snapped tons of photos of his daughter. It was really cute. He's a super hands-on dad," says the guest.

Who needs a stylist when you have a toddler?

"It's funny – I didn't try on that many dresses," Sarah Michelle Gellar said on the red carpet at Sunday's Golden Globes. "My 2-year-old [daughter Charlotte] walked in, walked up this dress and said, 'Mama, wear this!' So I put it on and said, 'OK!' "

"She really went for it," the Ringer star, 34, adds. "She chose the bag and shoes. I let her pick all of it."

Ringer Premieres: Will You Keep Watching?

Sarah Michelle Gellar has come a long way since her days as a pouty, doe-eyed 20-something trying to outrun a murderer in I Know What You Did Last Summer (not to mention all those years of slaying vampires on Buffy).

Today, she's a pouty, doe-eyed 30-something playing a fugitive in Manhattan, but with a new air of wisdom and a knowing sparkle as she dives into her starring role on the new CW mystery series Ringer.

This isn't groundbreaking television – the moments of high drama have a Lifetime Movie feel about them and the green screen work is pretty sub-par (couldn't help but chuckle at the boat scene) – but the show does make a fresh, not-too-guilty pleasure addition to the fall shows.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Rachel Bilson Return to Primetime

Fans of The OC and Buffy rejoice! Among the CW's fall lineup are two new shows starring former California girl Rachel Bilson and vampire killer Sarah Michelle Gellar.

In Ringer, Gellar stars as Bridget Cafferty, a recovering alcoholic with a troubled past. After witnessing a murder, she flees to New York from the killers who want her dead. There, she reunites with her estranged twin sister Siobhan, a wealthy Manhattanite who is married to the handsome Andrew Martin (Fantastic Four's Ioan Gruffudd). When Siobhan goes missing, Bridget decides to pose as her sister, stepping into her seemingly perfect life to avoid her own troubles. But it doesn't take long before Bridget realizes that Siobhan was hiding secrets and facing even more danger than Bridget could imagine. (Watch a preview above.)
