Matt Damon Takes Over Jimmy Kimmel Live
Originally posted 01/25/2013 08:00AM
Matt Damon more than made up for his decade of being bumped from Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Declaring "I am in command of this ship," Damon not only hijacked the show Thursday night, but he brought along a little big-name help.
Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman, Demi Moore, Amy Adams, Sally Field, Robert De Niro, Don Cheadle, John Krasinski and Oprah Winfrey all played a part.
Andy Garcia sat in as sidekick. Sheryl Crow led the band.
And where was Kimmel? Oh, he was there, all right: gagged and tied on the back of the set, as Damon took over.

He may be 17-years-old, but Sarah Silverman's elderly pooch, Duck, is still bounding with energy – but only for one hour each day.
"He needs at least 23 hours of sleep a day, or else he's not himself," the comedian told PEOPLE at the GQ Men of the Year Party in Los Angeles last month. "But then in that one hour [that he's awake], he's so peppy it's crazy. We take walks, watch TV, we cuddle."

Fan Shows Sarah Silverman Devotion – with a Tattoo
Originally posted 05/01/2010 06:15PM
She may think nothing of going on national television to sing about doing the dirty with Matt Damon, but there's still something that can even shock Sarah Silverman as she signs autographs along the book-promotion trail.
"There was a guy [who] had a tattoo of me on his arm!" the comedian, still astonished from the encounter, says with a laugh. "It was my face, a picture of me, inside the mouth of a serpent. I remember, because I signed his book, 'You clearly think things through!' "
Silverman's memoir, The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption and Pee (four out of five stars, according to Amazon's reader ratings), is allowing the star, 39, success in a new field, the world of letters – and ascension to the bestseller list.

Stars Tease Matt Damon for Bad Breath, Hair Plugs
Originally posted 03/28/2010 01:00PM
Matt Damon took some serious ribbing Saturday night when he was honored in Beverly Hills with the 24th American Cinematheque Award.
"He doesn't deserve this award," Damon's pal Jimmy Kimmel teasingly told PEOPLE. "I don't know who they weren't able to get, but I'd go with Tom Selleck before I'd go with Matt Damon."
Sarah Silverman, who joked that she gave Damon, 39, "his first really big break" with their crudely funny 2008 viral video hit, said she was going to have a hard time roasting him.
"The worst thing I could say is, you know, Matt Damon is like, maybe he's a perfectionist," she told the audience, which included Don Cheadle, former President Bill Clinton and Damon's Invictus director Clint Eastwood. "And his breath is like, Jesus! And his hair plugs are really obvious. Besides that, there's like nothing. So sorry, roast not possible!"

Originally posted 03/16/2010 09:00AM
It's no joke, Sarah Silverman still believes in love after the end of her Jimmy Kimmel romance.
"I'd like to find that person," the comedian, 39, tells Playboy in a new interview. "I think Jimmy and I had every intention of spending the rest of our lives with each other. I love love. It's my top priority. Jimmy will tell you. I'm a good girl."
Silverman, who is now dating Alec Sulkin, a writer for FOX's Family Guy, says she and Kimmel gave it their best shot in their two stints together between 2002 and 2009.
"We were together for so long and tried our best to make it work," she says. "I can think of him now and don't have that edgy feeling anymore. I just love him to pieces."

Sarah Silverman Dating a Guy Who's Not Her Type at All
Originally posted 02/08/2010 10:25AM
After going through a particularly awkward stretch of single life, Sarah Silverman discovered a man who isn't her type at all – and it seems to be working out great.
Her new boyfriend, the writer Alec Sulkin, is "the first guy in a decade who's given me any kind of compliment, like saying I'm pretty or anything," the comedian, 39, tells the new issue of Page Six Magazine, due out Thursday.
"He's really skinny. Usually I like pudgy, macho-ish guys," says Silverman, who dated talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel for much of the last decade. "But I think I mistook macho-ish for strong, emotionally. And I think it's really the opposite."

Silverman was also honored with the best political video award for her "Great Schlep" video, a plea for Jewish kids to urge their grandparents to vote for Barack Obama.
Other high-profile Webby winners include Jimmy Fallon, who was named Webby person of the year for using the Internet, specifically his blog, to refine his talk show hosting skills before his late night debut. Lisa Kudrow won outstanding comedic performance for her Web-only series Web Therapy and rocker Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails was named Webby artist of the year.
